Kevin Shelton’s Texas Glory team has been playing the top talent in the country for the past two weeks, starting with the Patriot Games in Windsor, CO, last week to the Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July this week in the Denver Metro area.
#20 Texas Glory punched its ticket to the 16U National Power Pool Championship Bracket with a 6-3 win over #3 Hotshots Naudin National-Villegas on Saturday at Aurora Sports Park.
“Reaching Sunday at the TCS Fireworks National Power Pool is a great accomplishment for any team,” Shelton said. “It’s a gauntlet of quality squads and long days.”
“(I’m) really proud of how our team has competed starting back on June 26 in Patriot Games through today. Though they are clearly tired physically and drained mentally, they just keep fighting for each other. It’s a pleasure to see them come together and just keep battling. It’s a fun group!”
2026 1B/3B/UT Kennedy “KB” Bradley went 3 for 3 with a double, two homers and three RBIs, 2027 MIF/OF/UT Finlee Williams went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs and 2026 SS/UT Mackenna Jackson went 3 for 3 with an RBI for Texas Glory.
2026 RHP Madelyn Doty and 2026 RHP Avery Howerton combined for the win, each going three complete innings for Texas Glory. …
2026 3B/RF Taylor Hampton had two hits, including a homer, and four RBIs as #1 Arizona Storm National-Appel got past #34 Louisville Lady Sluggers-Wathen to earn a trip to the 16U National Power Pool Championship Bracket.

“This tournament is always one of the best and stacked with great competition,” Lady Sluggers coach Scott Norwood said. “We have played some great ball this week and have had several comeback wins in the bottom of the 7th and 8th innings. 2027 OF Eva Bustamante homered and drove in three runs and 2027 MIF Hayden Huerta went 2 for 3 with a two-run homer as #1 Athletics Mercado 09-Tidd defeated #3 Impact Gold 2K9 National to cinch a spot in the 14Y National Power Pool Championship Bracket.
“Tt will be a grind tomorrow with a possibility of four games straight,” Athletics Mercado coach Brian Tidd said. “We’ll need all (of) our players to continue playing well.”
Trailing 8-3 in the final inning, Arizona National-Kobasew scored eight runs, including a three-run walk-off homer by 2029 CF Peyton Knight to lead #10 Arizona National-Kobasew past #47 Atlanta Viper Gold 2010-Lynch, 11-8, and earn a spot in the 14U National Power Pool Championship Bracket.
