Kevin Shelton’s Texas Glory team has been playing the top talent in the country for the past two weeks, starting with the Patriot Games in Windsor, CO, last week to the Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July this week in the Denver Metro area.

#20 Texas Glory punched its ticket to the 16U National Power Pool Championship Bracket with a 6-3 win over #3 Hotshots Naudin National-Villegas on Saturday at Aurora Sports Park.

“Reaching Sunday at the TCS Fireworks National Power Pool is a great accomplishment for any team,” Shelton said. “It’s a gauntlet of quality squads and long days.”

“(I’m) really proud of how our team has competed starting back on June 26 in Patriot Games through today. Though they are clearly tired physically and drained mentally, they just keep fighting for each other. It’s a pleasure to see them come together and just keep battling. It’s a fun group!”

2026 1B/3B/UT Kennedy “KB” Bradley went 3 for 3 with a double, two homers and three RBIs, 2027 MIF/OF/UT Finlee Williams went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs and 2026 SS/UT Mackenna Jackson went 3 for 3 with an RBI for Texas Glory.

2026 RHP Madelyn Doty and 2026 RHP Avery Howerton combined for the win, each going three complete innings for Texas Glory. …

2026 3B/RF Taylor Hampton had two hits, including a homer, and four RBIs as #1 Arizona Storm National-Appel got past #34 Louisville Lady Sluggers-Wathen to earn a trip to the 16U National Power Pool Championship Bracket.

“After finishing top three at Patriot Games, top three in TV Bracket, making it to the Championship Bracket of the National Power Pool was always our goal, Arizona Storm coach Steve Appel said. “Every event we enter is to play the best.” …

2026 2B/UT Molly Hancock had a pinch-hit single and scored the winning run in ITB on 2027 C/OF Adelle Metz’s hit as #30 Louisville Lady Sluggers-Huecker/Norwood beat #20 Fury Platinum X-Hutchins, 3-2, to earn a spot in the 16U National Power Pool Championship Bracket.

“This tournament is always one of the best and stacked with great competition,” Lady Sluggers coach Scott Norwood said. “We have played some great ball this week and have had several comeback wins in the bottom of the 7th and 8th innings. We are excited to make it to championship Sunday with the best top-16 teams in the tournament. We will continue to compete and play our best ball.” …

Georgia Tech-committed 2025 IF/3B/MIF Landri Pick hit two homers and drove in three runs as #4 Impact Gold-Jazz beat Hotshots National-Galloway, 10-3, to earn a spot in the 16U National Power Pool Championship Bracket. …

Alabama-committed 2025 UT/C Holly Beth Brooks hit a three-run home run and uncommitted 2025 MIF/3B Alexandra Holeman hit a two-run home run, Pittsburgh-committed 2025 3B/SS Gracie Helton homered as #20 Fury Platinum X-Hutchins/Helton defeated #18 Mojo-Lewis, 9-1, to clinch a spot in the 16U National Power Pool Championship Bracket.

“We told them at the start of the season that we wanted to peak as a team two times, Colorado and Alliance Nationals,” Fury coach Matt Helton said. “They have consistently continued to elevate their game from week-to-week and game-to-game. (I’m) excited to see what kind of momentum we can start off with on championship Sunday and be able run with.” …

2028 IF/OF Kelsey Luderer went 1 for 1 with an RBI double, 2027 1B/3B/C Riley Piorkowski went 2 for 3 with an RBI and 2027 3B Hudson Ortiz went 2 for 3 with two RBIs as #50 Impact Gold National-Siegel rallied from a five-run deficit to beat Newtown Rock-Bodick and clinch a spot in the 1eU National Power Pool Championship Bracket.

“Needless to say, we’re proud to have come here and gone 10-2 between the Patriot Games, the supplemental Power Pool (mercied all 4 opponents) and now the (National) Power Pool,” Impact Gold coach Justin Siegel said. “We’re proud to have been put in the supplemental Power Pool and we’re proud to have played our way into the top 16. We’re going to muster up as much energy as we can tomorrow and compete, one pitch at a time.” 

2027 OF Eva Bustamante homered and drove in three runs and 2027 MIF Hayden Huerta went 2 for 3 with a two-run homer as #1 Athletics Mercado 09-Tidd defeated #3 Impact Gold 2K9 National to cinch a spot in the 14Y National Power Pool Championship Bracket.

“Tt will be a grind tomorrow with a possibility of four games straight,” Athletics Mercado coach Brian Tidd said. “We’ll need all (of) our players to continue playing well.” 

Trailing 8-3 in the final inning, Arizona National-Kobasew scored eight runs, including a three-run walk-off homer by 2029 CF Peyton Knight to lead #10 Arizona National-Kobasew past #47 Atlanta Viper Gold 2010-Lynch, 11-8, and earn a spot in the 14U National Power Pool Championship Bracket. She went 3 for 4 with four RBIs.

“The event has been great and extremely well run,” Arizona National coach Chuck Kobasew said. “(It’s) definitely a test of team depth.” …

2028 OF Amiya Clay, 2027 OF Cat Alston, 2028 SS Izianah Castillo and 2027 1B/3B Raelynn Hulsey all went 2 for 3 as #23 LTG Lions 2027-Buck beat #20 Athletics Mercado-Tidd/Iwai, 8-5, to earn a spot in the 14U National Power Pool Championship Bracket.

“Looking ahead to championship Sunday, it’s a who’s who of the top 14U teams in the country,” LTG coach Amanda Buck said. “(I’m) very proud of what our team has accomplished so far, but we aren’t finished, yet. I am very confident in my team that they have the pitching, hitting and defense to hang with any team out there and looking forward to them showing what they’re capable of tomorrow.” 

2028 C/3B Ryann Harris went 2 for 3, with two homers and five RBIs and
2027 C/1B Kendall Watts went 3 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs to help #46 Texas Glory Gold beat LA Fury Platinum National 2027-Chaffin, 8-5, and earn a berth to the 14U National Power Pool Championship Bracket. …
