Event News: Day 2 of 18U/16U Regionals at AFCS (July 22, 2025)
The 18U/16U teams battled on Tuesday to earn a spot in the Super Regionals at AFCS in Kokomo, IN (All rankings are Line Drive Hot 50 Club National Rankings):

18U Regionals:
Thunder Elite Premier-Steiner 2, #22 Firecrackers Select-Rico/Brashear 1: Ohio-bound OF/SS/3B Sena Smith went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a stolen base as Thunder Elite pulled off the upset.
NJ Pride-Stern 3, #45 Tampa Mustangs-Rene 2: Uncommitted 2026 RHP Audrey Amoruso allowed four hits and struck out seven in 6.2 innings to help the NJ Pride upset the Tampa Mustangs.
#17 Texas Glory 10, Starz Gold-McGowan/Bigham 1: Texas-committed 2026 RHP Madi Doty allowed no earned runs and struck out seven in four innings to lead Texas Glory.
#31 Fury Premier X-Higdon 8, Virginia Glory National-Willemssen 0: Clemson-bound RHP Lexie Hames, #13 in the 2025 Line Drive Hot 100, pitched four scoreless innings with nine strikeouts, Alabama-committed 2026 3B/1B/C Paige Stanfield, #15 in the 2026 Line Drive Hot 100, had a three-run homer, Clemson-bound 1B/3B Sarah Breaux had a two-run homer, Tennessee-bound LHP/UT Kailey Plumlee went 3 for 3 with a triple and Virginia-bound MIF Hannah Tober went 2 for 2 with a walk-off RBI to lead Fury Platinum X.
#38 Epic National-Smith 8, Chicago Cheetahs-Connolly 3: Tulsa-committed 2026 RHP Mikena Wilson allowed three hits while striking out six in seven innings and North Texas-bound OF Kaycee Slovak had a two-run triple, Baylor-bound IF Lila Toll went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Missouri State-bound C/UT Addi Drummond and Wichita State-committed 2026 UT/OF Jess Shuman both added a hit and two RBIs each to help Epic National-Smith.

Unity-Torres 1, #34 OC Batbusters-Stith/Maroon 0: Monmouth-committed 2026 P Madison McDougall pitched a three-hitter with five strikeouts in seven innings and she hit a double in the top of the 7th inning that led to the winning pinch-hit RBI single by Indiana-committed 2026 RHP Bria Bosiljevac for Unity-Torres.
#5 Texas Bombers Gold-Smith 9, Oklahoma Athletics 07 Premier-McFadden 2: Tennessee-bound C/IF Elsa Morrison, #3 in the 2025 Line Drive Hot 100, went 2 for 3 with two home runs and four RBIs to propel Texas Bombers Gold-Smith.
#2 OC Batbusters-Stith 3, Louisville Lady Sluggers-Huecker 0: Uncommitted 2026 RHP Liliana Escobar, #17 in the 2026 Line Drive Hot 100, pitched a complete game shutout, Arizona-committed 2026 3B/SS Natalie Keith, #40 in the 2026 Line Drive Hot 100, drove in the games first run with an RBI single and Stanford-committed 2026 OF Kale’a Tindal, #5 in the 2026 Line Drive Hot 100, hit a two-run home run in the 6th to provide the insurance for Batbusters-Stith.

#3 Impact Gold-Jackson 7, Batbusters Gomes 0: Arizona-bound P Rylie Holder pitched a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts, Arkansas-bound OF/UT Khamari Hall went 2 for 3 with two runs a triple and a homer and uncommitted 2026 OF Adrienne Thompson went 2 for 3 with two stolen bases for Impact Gold.

#22 Louisville Lady Sluggers-Huecker/Norwood 6, #50 Iowa Premier National-Shannon/Paz 1: Tennessee-committed 2026 LHP Maggie Krause, #7 in the 2026 Line Drive Hot 100, pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts and zero earned runs and 2027 C/OF Adelle Metz, #8in the 2027 Line Drive Hot 100, hit a two-run homer to lift the Lady Sluggers.
Ohio Outlaws National-Wolff/Leggins 7, #29 Firecrackers Select-RTY 1: 2028 OF/1B Aedre Ault had two hits and three RBIs to pace the Outlaws.

Indiana Magic Gold-Bennett/Goddard 10, Team PA 2026-Hall 2: 2027 OF/UT Kayla Benthall went 3 for 3 with four stolen bases and 2026 C/3B Haley Schatko and 2027 P/SS/UT Jenna Mannon both homered to lead IMG.
Buzz Gold 8, Indiana Magic Gold-Moore 4: Texas State-committed 2026 IF Maddie Kingslien, Louisiana Monroe-committed 2026 OF/MIF KynLeigh Ball, 2027 OF/IF Sophia Garcia and Tarleton State-committed 2026 OF/2B Avery Barnard led the way with two hits apiece for Buzz Gold.
#15 ai Bandits-Breer 2, Fury Platinum X-Pickett 1: Saint Mary’s-committed 2026 P Avery Huh allowed two hits, one run and struck out two in 5.1 innings to lift the Bandits.
