2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I
Top 25 Coaches Poll – March 25, 2025

Texas Switches Switches Spots with Oklahoma at No. 1 By One Point

Texas reclaimed the top spot over Oklahoma by a mere one point in this week’s 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.

The Longhorns (31-2) and Sooners (29-1) collected 16 and 14 first-place votes respectively with the former coming out one point ahead, 757-756. No. 4 Florida captured the other first-place vote.

The top-ranked Longhorns return after two weeks at No. 2. They had their 17-game win streak snapped on March 17 at No. 4 Florida, but bounced back with a three-game sweep of then No. 23 Auburn.

The Sooners opened the week with an 8-0 win over East Texas A&M before taking two-of-three at Missouri. OU’s 2025 undefeated start to the season was snapped in game two against the Tigers (18-15) at 28, along with its 31-game win streak

Texas and OU were two of seven programs – (RV) Austin Peay (24), No. 3 LSU (14), No. 23 FAU (11), (RV) Liberty (11), No. 7 UCLA (10) –  either ranked or received votes that had double-digit win streaks ended.

The remaining ranked program with a double-digit win streak is No. 13 Stanford (23-3) at 11 games, which is currently tied for the second-longest active streak in Division I.

LSU’s 14-game win streak came to an end in the series finale at then-No. 3 Georgia. The Tigers (29-2) opened with 5-3 and 10-2 victories before the Bulldogs (23-8) avoided a sweep with an 11-3 run-rule triumph.

Florida (30-4) and Texas A&M (26-5) stayed put at No. 4 and 5. The Gators (30-4), along with Texas, were the first Division I programs to ascend to 30 wins in 2025 with a 3-0 week, while the Aggies took two-of-three from (RV) Alabama in College Station.

Oregon (29-3) jumped to No. 6 as it collected a Big Ten series sweep of Illinois with UCLA and Florida State sharing the No. 7 ranking. The Bruins (28-5) split a Big 10 twinbill at Iowa, while the Seminoles (29-5) have won nine straight after earning a road win at Alabama and sweeping then-No. 19 Duke in ACC action last week.

No. 9 Tennessee and No. 10 South Carolina make up the rest of the top 10. The Lady Vols (26-6) dropped their league series at home to new-No. 12 Arkansas, while the Gamecocks (24-6) grabbed two-of-three from then-No. 12 Texas Tech (24-9) in a 11 vs. 12 non-conference matchup in Columbia.

Previously-mentioned Stanford made the biggest jump improving four positions following a three-game sweep at Notre Dame.

Coming off an ACC-series win over (RV) California, Virginia joins the rankings at No. 24 this week. The Cavaliers (24-8) went 3-1 overall last week and are 8-2 in their last 10 games. Grand Canyon (23-6), after making its national debut last week, fell out after suffering a 1-3 week, which included an extra-inning loss to then-No. 10 Arizona.

The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 31 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA’s Division I Conferences. Polls will be released Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. throughout the regular season. Records reflect games played through March 23, 2025.

Top 25 Coaches Poll – March 25, 2025

Movement Amongst Top 10 in This Week’s NFCA/GoRout DII Top 25 Coaches Poll

The top three teams remained intact as UT Tyler ran its win streak to 14 games and continued its hold on No. 1 in this week’s NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. There was movement below the top three as six of the seven teams received new rankings this week.

With four Lone Star Conference road wins against Cameron and then-No. 18 Oklahoma Christian, the Patriots (31-2) were one of three Division II programs to reach the 30-win plateau last week.

The team with the longest active win streak in the nation (all three divisions) is No. 2 Tampa (29-1), which has now won 25 straight contests after a three-game Sunshine State Conference series sweep at Embry-Riddle.

No. 3 West Texas A&M (32-2) has engineered a 12-game winning streak following home LSC sweeps of then-No. 4 Angelo State and Lubbock Christian.

Francis Marion elevated to No. 4 and Auburn-Montgomery remained at No. 5. The Patriots (29-3) swept three doubleheaders at home, while the WarHawks (20-7) picked up two 8-0 shutouts in a Gulf South series win at UAH.

Central Oklahoma climbed the ladder as well, moving from No. 10 to No. 6 after two conference wins over then-No. 6 Rogers State and Northeastern State.

Angelo State and Rogers State dipped to No. 7 and 8, respectively. The Rambelles (26-8) suffered an 0-4 week, falling twice each to West Texas A&M and Midwestern State, while the Hillcats (24-7) went 4-2 earning two wins at Oklahoma Christian and Newman, respectively.

No. 9 North Georgia (27-6) and No. 10 Augustana (22-6) round things out for the top 10, going 3-2 and 5-1, respectively.

No. 22 Southern Arkansas (26-5), No. 24 Mississippi College (24-8) and t-No. 25 West Chester (16-5) joined the rankings this week. It’s the first time for the Muleriders and Golden Rams in 2025, while the 24th-ranked Choctaws return after being ranked in the preseason and after Week 1. SAU and MC own the second (tied) and fourth-longest win streaks in Division II at 16 and 15 games, respectively.
