The Florida Gators were a unanimous No. 1 selection in the D1Softball Top 25 poll following week one action around the country.
Florida sits at 6-0 after opening week, winning a home contest over North Florida on opening night and posting an undefeated record at the USF-Rawlings Invitational in Tampa. The Gators’ weekend slate included a run-rule win over then-ranked Michigan.
Texas checks in at No. 2 in the poll, while UCLA, Oklahoma, and Tennessee round out the top five.
Three teams that were not ranked in the Preseason Top 25 poll enter the rankings for the first time in 2025 following standout performances in week one. Missouri, sitting at 4-1, jumps into the poll at No. 15. Mississippi State, also 4-1 with wins over Texas Tech and Nebraska, jumps into the poll at No. 17.
Directly behind the Bulldogs are another newcomer, No. 18 FAU. The Owls are 6-0 with wins over Clemson, Ole Miss, and Kansas.
The SEC leads all conferences with 11 teams ranked in the Top 25, including six of the top ten. The ACC and Big 12 each placed four teams in the poll, while the Big Ten was represented by three teams in this week’s ranking. The Patriot League, American, and Conference USA all have one team each in the rankings.
