Here are Week 12’s NFCA Division 1, 2 & 3 college softball rankings as well as the players selected by NCAA D1 and D2 coaches for their impressive play.

Highlighted by a sweep of then-No. 15 Georgia, Oklahoma strengthened its hold on No. 1 in this week’s 2026 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll. Texas Tech remains at No. 2 with Nebraska moving past Alabama for the No. 3 spot.
The Sooners (46-6) added four wins to their ledger last week, blanking Arkansas Pine Bluff, 9-0, and taking all three from the Bulldogs (34-16) to move into sole possession of first place in the Southeastern Conference standings with one week left in the regular season.
The Red Raiders (47-4) ran through UTEP on the road before sweeping then-No. 24 Arizona State in Tempe to clinch the Big 12 regular season title outright for the second consecutive year.
The third-ranked Cornhuskers (40-6) reached the 40-win plateau and extended their win streak to 13 with a big win on the road at RV Omaha, 11-4, in front of a sold-out crowd at Connie Claussen Field and a three-game Big Ten sweep of Iowa, capping it off with a 13-0 victory. Nebraska heads into the final weekend with one and two-game leads over No. 5 UCLA and No. 11 Oregon. The Huskers are on the road at Penn State, while the Bruins (44-5) and Ducks (38-10) duke it out at Easton Stadium.
Alabama dropped a spot to No. 4. The Crimson Tide (44-5) were on both ends of shutouts this week. They blanked UAB, 6-0, and No. 8 Tennessee, 12-0, before the Lady Vols (39-8) returned the favor with a 1-0 victory in a near no-hitter by UT’s Sage Mardjetko.
Previously-mentioned UCLA traveled to Seattle and swept then-No. 25 Washington. No. 6 Florida stepped out of SEC play last week as it dropped a 3-1 affair at new-No. 9 Florida State. The rematch will take place in Gainesville tonight at 7:00 pm. They also blanked No. 22 UCF by identical 7-0 scores in a home-and-home with the Knights (36-14-1).
The Seminoles (43-7) secured a three-game ACC sweep of Georgia Tech in Atlanta, highlighted by Jazzy Francik’s no-hitter in the opener. FSU (18-3) sits in first place in the league ahead of Duke (20-4) on winning percentage. The Noles close out their ACC season at Boston College, while the Blue Devils have already finished ACC play.
Arkansas dropped a spot to No. 10 following a 3-1 week, picking up a road win at Tulsa and collecting an SEC series victory at Missouri.
No. 11 Oregon and No. 12 Duke continued their steady progressions up the poll and are just outside the top 10. No. 15 Stanford and No. 16 Oklahoma State also improved this week as well.
No. 24 Louisville makes its first appearance in the rankings since Feb. 11, 2014 . The Cardinals (41-10) also reached the 40-win mark following an ACC sweep of Syracuse.

Virginia Tech’s Michelle Chatfield and Oklahoma State’s Ruby Meylan were named Division I Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week for contests played April 20-26.
Highlighted by a record-breaking performance, Chatfield lifted the 13th-ranked Hokies to a three-game sweep of North Carolina in ACC action.
The junior drove in a program-record nine runs and matched another mark with three long balls in game one against the Tar Heels. After an RBI single in the first, Chatfield’s first home run was a second-inning grand slam.
She followed with a three-run shot in third and a leadoff homer in the fifth to set the new record. Chatfield also homered in game two. She finished the week with a .583 average, a triple, four home runs, 11 RBI, 1.750 slugging percentage, three walks, .667 on-base percentage and zero strikeouts in 15 plate appearances.
Meylan picked up three wins last week, including a two-hit complete-game shutout at No. 7 Texas. She also went the distance in a pair of Big 12 road wins at Baylor. Meylan was the first pitcher to hold Texas to two hits at home since 2021. She struck out four Longhorns and did not issue a free pass in the victory.
Meylan scattered five hits in each out against the Bears, striking out four and three respectively. For the week, she posted a 0.67 ERA with 11 punchouts, three walks, three runs, two earned, and 12 hits in 21 innings of work.
The awards are voted on by the NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll Committee, which features one member coach from each of the NCAA’s 31 conferences.

Idle Saint Leo remained at No. 1 and was joined in the top three by No. 2 UIndy and No. 3 Colorado Christian in this week’s NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Lions (39-2-1) enjoyed a week off and returns to action this weekend against Lynn in their final home games of the regular season.
The second-ranked Greyhounds (51-3) and third-ranked Cougars (50-2) both went 4-0 in conference action and are the first programs to reach 50 wins across the NCAA and NAIA. Extending its win streak to 15 games, UIndy knocked off then-No. 16 McKendree in a pair of one-run battles (3-2, 2-1) and cruised past University of Illinois Springfield (9-1, 11-2). After a close game-one win, CCU completed the four-game RMAC sweep of Adams State with 7-0, 9-1 and 9-1 victories to extend their win streak to 46 contests.
Pittsburg State and Cal State San Marcos slipped to a tie for the fourth spot after splitting their contests. The Gorillas (45-4) were swept by then-No. 17 Central Oklahoma, but rebounded with a sweep of Newman. The Cougars (43-6) split a pair of one-run matchups on the road at new-No. 23 Concordia (40-14).
West Texas A&M (42-6) stayed at No. 6 with North Georgia moving up one spot to No. 7 (39-8). AUM (39-8) was joined at No. 8 by Southern Arkansas (42-5). No. 10 Francis Marion returned to the top 10 following a fourth consecutive Conference Carolinas tournament title to earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
No. 12 Cal State East Bay dropped out of the top 10 for the first time this season. No. 16 Lenoir-Rhyne (37-11) and No. 20 UT Tyler each moved up three spots. Anderson (34-10) joins the rankings for the first time this season at No. 25.

Ouachita Baptist’s Jordyn Merrett and Shepherd’s Madelayne Ruffner were named Division II Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week for contests played April 20-26. It’s the second consecutive honor for Ruffner and third this season.
Merrett’s monstrous week keyed the Tigers to five wins, including a three-game sweep of conference rival Henderson State, propelling Ouachita into the Great American Conference Tournament for the first time since 2022.
The junior batted .818 (9-for-11) with five home runs, 13 RBI and nine runs scored. She slugged 2.182 and finished the week with a 3.040 OPS. During the sweep, she homered for the cycle, highlighted by a game-tying grand slam in the series opener, followed by a two-homer outing in game two and one more in the finale.
Ruffner, who continues to strike out her opponents at a nation’s best clip, fanned 28 more batters over 17 innings and did not surrender a run in a 2-0 week for the junior. She matched a career-best with 19 punchouts in a 10-inning, three-hit shutout of Kutztown.
Leading Division II in strikeouts (243), strikeouts per seven innings (12.6) and WHIP (0.68), Ruffner surpassed the 800-career strikeout mark last weekend.

Virginia Wesleyan closed out a perfect regular season and extended its win streak to 40 games to continue as the No. 1 team in the NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll, the Association announced on Tuesday.
The (40-0) Marlins, who boast the second-longest active win streak in NCAA play to the 46 straight won by Division II’s Colorado Christian, are the top team in the Division III rankings for an eighth straight week. They are the No. 1 seed for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament, which they’ve won a record 16 times. Virginia Wesleyan’s last loss came June 5, 2025 to Trine in the NCAA Division III championship series.
The reigning national champion (26-2) Thunder won three of their four contests this past week to remain second, but Saint Mary’s (33-5) plummeted from third to eighth after a three-loss week that included being run-ruled by new-No. 25 Saint Benedict twice on the road.
Texas Lutheran (35-4) improved two spots to take over the No. 3 spot, while WashU (25-3-1) jumped from sixth to fourth, and Redlands (32-4) went from seventh to fifth. After dropping dropped one game in its four-game set with Hardin-Simmons, East Texas Baptist (34-4) slid down to sixth, just ahead of Linfield (33-6) in seventh.
Belhaven (32-8) and Simpson (30-5) round out the revised top 10.
The other big changes occurred at the bottom of the poll, with Wartburg (26-8) replacing Central at No. 23 following a conference sweep of the Dutch and two other victories in a perfect 4-0 week. Westfield State (33-1) and the aforementioned Saint Benedict (27-9) complete the ranked teams.
Four other teams received votes, while four different teams dropped out.

2026 NFCA Division III Top 25 Committee

Husson’s Ana Lang and UMass Dartmouth’s RaeLynn Perregaux earned the latest Division III Wilson/NFCA Pitcher and Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week honors, the Association announced on Tuesday.
Staff ace Lang won five of the No. 20 Eagles (29-4) six games and recorded her 500th career strikeout. The junior right-hander from Searsport, Maine, fanned 57 for the week and allowed just nine hits, five walks and two earned runs over 25 innings in the circle for a 0.56 ERA.
After six strikeouts over three innings in her first outing against Thomas, Lang fanned double figures in each of her other four appearances, including a season-best 17 in the first game of a twinbill versus SUNY Cobleskill. For the week, she tossed two one-hitters and a four-hitter.
Perregaux, meanwhile, hit .813 (13-for-16) with eight runs, four doubles, a triple, two home runs and 12 RBI for the (22-8) Corsairs. The Torrington, Conn., native blasted both homers in the same inning of the first game against Keene State last Tuesday, and went 8-for-8 in the doubleheader sweep.
Three days later, the senior third baseman collected five more hits, including two more extra-base hits versus Western Connecticut State. She did not strike out in 17 plate appearances for the week.
