It’s still very cold in many parts of the country but there’s good news to be had: the D1 college season starts this week!

That’s right, games kickoff as early as this Thursday (!) and thanks to our friends at D1 Softball, we have not only their D1 Preseason Top 25, we also have the schedules of all teams in it.

The Florida Gators earn the top spot in D1Softball’s Preseason Top 25 poll ahead of the 2025 season.

Texas and Oklahoma – last season’s national runner-up and national champion, respectively – check in at No. 2 and No. 3 in the preseason poll.

All eight teams that played in the Women’s College World Series a year ago appear in the preseason poll; in addition to the top three teams, that group includes No. 4 UCLA, No. 5 Oklahoma State, No. 7 Duke, No. 17 Alabama, and No. 22 Stanford.

Pitchers NiJaree Canady and Jordy Bahl – ranked as the top two players in the country in the Preseason D100 Player Rankings – pilot their respective teams into the preseason Top 25. Canady’s Texas Tech squad checks in at No. 13, while Bahl’s Nebraska Cornhuskers are the No. 14 team entering the season.

The SEC leads all conferences with nine ranked teams, while the Big Ten checks in with six. The Big 12 and ACC boast four ranked teams each, while Conference USA and the Patriot League each placed a single team in the rankings.
