Club News: Who is the Most Talented Player You Probably Don't Know ... Yet? (Jan. 11, 2025)

Line Drive Softball likes to find out what the top club players are thinking about the latest issues, so we throw out a question to some of them from around the country. Here’s the latest question:

Who is the most talented player people probably don’t know … yet?

Here’s how they answered:

Hannah Wulf, 2026, LHP, Chicago Cheetahs-Connolly/Wheaton North High, IL, South Carolina:

“On my club team, I’d have to say (2026 OF) Alyssa Shimanski (of Chicago Cheetahs-Connolly) and (2026 3B/1B) Aubrey Mazza (of Chicago Cheetahs-Connolly)! Two other girls that come to mind are (2026 OF/2B) Faith Heil (of Iowa Premier National-Dickel/Shannon) and (2027 P/3B) Gianna Furlano (of Illinois Chill Gold)!”

Zoey Woodruff, 2028, SS/UT, Team NC-Bowman/West Wilkes High, NC, uncommitted, #34 in the 2028 Line Drive Hot 100:

“In my opinion, Kaylee Hodges, a 2027 class pitcher, and Zoey Woodruff, a 2028 shortstop and all-around player, will be the next two big names for upcoming softball. Both players from Team NC-Bowman will draw attention this summer in the elite travel ball world.”

Kinzey Woody, 2025, 3B/IF/SS, Impact Caymol Premier/Fatima High, MO, Wichita State, #14 in the 2025 Line Drive Hot 100:

“(2026 RHP) Jessie Crye (of Impact Caymol Premier). She threw for my team in (PGF) Show Me The Money this fall and was lights out! She brought us all the way to the championship game and then threw the championship. She was one of the main pieces as to why we won that tournament!!”

Jillian Wimmer, 2027, IF, Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier 2027-Alford/Rocky/Coatesville High, PA, uncommitted:

“I’m going to go with (2027 C/3B) Arianna Martinez, who plays for Mystics National 18U-Garrett. She has good work ethic and has the majority of the tools to be an elite player. Two things that stick out to me is that she has a 72 mph over hand velo and sub 1.8 pop time.”

Addison Vandecar of Paraclete High. Photo provided by Addison Vandecar.

Addison Vandecar, 2026, SS/OF, So Cal Choppers-Fausett/Paraclete High, CA, UC Davis:

“I would say (2024, RHP/1B/3B) Jamie Sencion, who is a freshman at Fairleigh Dickson University. I’ve played with her my whole softball career and we were on the same high school team the past two years. We ended up winning CIF this past year and there is no way we could’ve done it without her. She pitches and hits. She was a huge asset.”
