Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? I play for Athletics Mercado Academy-Zito 09 and I have been playing for Coach Jason (Marazzito) since I was about 8 or 9 years old.

Tell us about your experience at Alliance Nationals? We went to Alliance in the Summer of 2024 and placed 17th out of 64 teams. It was a really good experience and got to face some real competitive teams.

What makes players from the state of Texas special? Texas players are special because we play against the best players in the country every week, every year, in travel and in high school.

What was your highlight of the fall? What have you been focusing on this offseason? Coming into the fall, my biggest goal was to hit my first home run and I did that at the Alliance Super Cup in Plano, TX.

Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? We have always ran into Impact Gold 09 and they are a very tough and competitive team. From their pitching to their lineup, they are stacked and always have been, but we always look forward to playing them and it is always a good game.

What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? 21 outs 🙂 Understanding that our game is hard and full of failure. Learning how to move on to the next pitch, to the next play or the next at-bat with confidence is preparing me to be successful in all aspects of my life.

Do you have any family members/siblings that are athletes? My sister, Jessica Carreon, played softball since she was a little girl and played all four years at College Station High School. She played collegiate softball all four years at UT Arlington and New Mexico State and is now a GA at Sam Houston.

What are you looking for in a future college? I am looking for a fun atmosphere and a softball program that competes at the highest level. Somewhere that feels like home where winning is a priority and I can make a significant contribution.

What college camps have you been to and are you planning to attend and why? I have attended McNeese State, Texas State, UT,and Sam Houston camps and had a great time at all of them. I learned so much and really liked the coaches.

What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I am currently wanting to major in kinesiology and be a softball coach at a college in the future. Be a GA somewhere right after college and end up having a team of my own one day.

What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? My favorite subject to study in school is math, especially Algebra because I like being able to do the problems by hand right in front of me.

Who is your sports hero and why? My sister Jessi (Carreon), while I might not admit that to her face, she has shown me how to play this sport with toughness, grit and love.

What’s your favorite book to read and why? “Because of Winn-Dixie” (by Kate DiCamillo) is my favorite book because I love puppies and a happy ending.

What’s the best hype song and why? The best hype song is “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee because it is fun and up-beat and everyone sings along. I have used this song as a walk-up song both years in high school and for previous travel ball experiences.

What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? My favorite TV show is “Dance Moms” because the drama is crazy and I have been learning the dances since I was 8 years old.

What’s your favorite movie and why? “High School Musical” because I like to sing and am similar in age, so I can relate to the high school life.

Do you have a secret talent/skill? One of my secret talents is that I sing. I have been singing since I was just a little girl and have really found a love for it, but haven’t put it out in public before.
