THE FINAL PITCH Q&A

Macy Thomas of Mississippi Glory-Lewis. Photo provided by Paul Thomas.

Name: Macy Thomas

Hometown: Milan, TN, a smaller town in West TN, located about an hour North of Memphis

Middle School/Future High School: Currently in Milan Middle School (7th grade) and will move to Milan High in 9th grade.

Club team: Mississippi Glory-Lewis 12U, (which is) part of the Mississippi Glory Fastpitch organization run by Coach Jim Lewis

Graduation Year: 2030

Height: 4-6

Positions: 2B/RHP. Occasionally my travel coaches will put me in the OF

Nickname: I have two, kind of. The first is “Lou.” My name is Macy Claire, but when I was young my dad (Paul Thomas) would call me Macy Lou or Lou. He said it had a better ring to it, lol. So a lot of parents that know me will call me Lou. Also, one of my best friends, and we play together is Emma. She’s a lot bigger than me. We picked up with a team together one time and the jersey they gave Emma to wear had the name “Tater” on the back. So everyone started calling me “Tot;” for Tater Tot!! That one is not as common as Lou.

Social media: Currently, I only do X. My dad (Paul Thomas) helped me with it early on and helped build a following and I couldn’t be more blessed for the friends and connections I’ve made on X. I know I’m still young to get recruited, but I have a lot of college coaches that follow me and “like” some of my videos, so I know its working in my favor. Handle on X is @Macy20Glory.

Honors: I have made the middle school varsity team each year since 5th grade, so a three-year varsity starter. In 6th grade, I won the Go-Getter Award, 7th grade I won Co-Pitcher of the Year and Fireball Award. Line Drive Media ranked me #58 in the 2030 Line Drive Hot 100 and #34 Infielder. (I was on the) Extra Inning Softball Rising Star watchlist for (the) class of 2030. (I was a) Select 30 invitee (ib) 2025 and (I’m an) Extra Inning Softball Ambassador.
