Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? I currently play for FL Storm 28/29-Curry. I have been with FL Storm for the last three years and before that I played for CF Stars. Most of my team has been together for a long time, since 10U.

Tell us about your experience at PGF/Alliance Nationals? For the tournaments we played in, I would say we played a lot of really good teams, great pitching and just very competitive teams, which makes you step your play up.

What makes players from the state of Florida special? Because of the weather here in FL, we are able to play and work on our game all year long, which gives FL players an edge over some teams. There is so much talent and competitive teams in Florida.

What was your highlight of the fall? I hit my first OTF HR and it was against a college-committed pitcher. Becoming more of a team leader and great teammate was a big highlight for me as well.

What have you been focusing on this offseason? I’ve been focusing on making my core stronger, my glove stronger and my leadership!

Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? I would say Ohana. They’ve been together for a long time like our team and are very competitive.

What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? Last year, we lost one of my friend’s/teammate’s mother suddenly and it definitely humbled all of us watching our sister go through that and still showing up for us each game, showed me true leadership.

Do you have any family members/siblings that are athletes? I have two older brothers — Anthony and Alijah Curry — that played multiple sports, baseball , basketball and football and I grew up watching them, which made me want to play sports and the reason I play multiple sports.

What are you looking for in a future college? I’m looking for colleges with good healthcare or science programs, location, cost and great athletic programs.

What college camps have you attended or are you planning to attend and why? I have attended two camps, one at FSU and one at Rollins College so far. I plan to attend many more in the near future.

What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? Nursing or an athletic trainer. I want to help people with their health and save lives. Athletic trainer because I play sports and know how important the athletic trainers are to athletes.

What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? History. I was able to learn how things were in the past compared to now and see the differences.

Who is your sports hero and why? Odicci Alexander (a former Softball America Pitcher of the Year at James Madison). I love watching her grind and determination to win.

What’s your favorite book to read and why? “The Girl In The White Van” (by April Henry). I love suspense stories.

What’s the best hype song and why? “Dreams and Nightmares” (by Meek Mill). It was also my brother’s HS basketball team’s song and it always gets me hyped up and ready to battle with my team!

What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? “Moesha.” It’s a funny sitcom and I think it’s a classic.

What’s your favorite movie and why? “Step Up” and “Honey.” I love almost all dance movies though.

Do you have a secret talent/skill? Singing in the shower, lol.
