Travel Ball Summer 2024 Stats (So Far): .442 AVG, .527 OBP, .688 SLG, 1.215 OPS, 5 HRs and 42 RBIs.
Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? The Impact Gold-Siegel team was first started with my dad (Brian Luderer) and Coach Justin (Siegel) creating the team. My sister (Kelsey Luderer) and I were some of the first players on the team. Since then, there have been many great additions to our team. We have great chemistry.
Tell us about your future high school team? My dad and Coach Justin are coaches of Notre Dame softball, too, so I am lucky to have had a few workouts and volunteer opportunities with my future high school team already. I am excited to join the team because it is a high-level softball program with strength and conditioning, but also stressing the importance of academics and a good attitude.
What’s it like playing on the same team with your twin sister? I am so lucky to have my sister (Kelsey Luderer) on my team. She is a built-in best friend that I am always able to talk to. Even off the field, we regularly go outside and take BP or fielding reps together.
You come from a family of athletes … what’s the best advice your family members have given you? I have learned that you have to work hard and often to be successful. Luckily, I have fun doing it and my dad is an amazing hitting and catching coach.
Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? Athletics Mercado-Tidd is the toughest team I have faced because they are the best all-around team we have played against.
What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? One of our first tournaments playing out-of-state national teams in Texas, we lost every game pretty badly. It was a hard reality that made us realize how much more work and growth we needed to accomplish to become successful.
What are you looking for in a future college? I am pretty open when it comes to colleges at this point. I am looking for a college with good sports programs and warm weather.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I am very interested in working with animals in some form or even starting my own business.
What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? My favorite subject is math because it makes sense to me and there is usually one right answer.
Who is your sports hero and why? My sports hero is my dad (Brian Luderer) because he is the one who has helped me become the athlete I am today.
What’s your favorite book to read and why? My favorite book is “Wonder” (by RJ Palacio) because it is a sweet, touching story about treating everyone with kindness.
What’s the best hype song and why? “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is the best hype song because it has a really good beat and good rhythm and it gets me in a good mood.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? I like to watch “All American” because it is all about football, friends and family.
What’s your favorite movie and why? “Tangled” is my favorite movie because it has good songs and is an adventurous love story.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I can raise each eyebrow one at a time. 🤨 😄
