The fall season is about to begin and players from around the country will be competing in a full slate of tournaments and showcases. Each club approaches these events in different ways as they look to finalize their rosters and fine-tune their lineups.
Line Drive Softball asked 18U, 16U, 14U, 12U and 10U players “How do you approach the fall season?” Here’s what they had to say:

Jaeda Bartfield, 2027, RHP/SS/3B, Unity Luke-BK2 16U:
“I approach the fall season with a confident mindset. I get ready to battle. I kind of put my mind in an unstoppable mode. I usually start core strengthening and conditioning two-three times a week to strengthen up before the games and tournaments start. I also start my season off by getting organized and writing down all of my goals for the upcoming season and where I expect myself to be come spring time after winter training. I set a standard and if I wasn’t able to hit my goal, whatever that was, I will have to just keep at it until I do.”
Daniella Neve, 2030, MIF/UT, Bombers Gold Futures-Malpass 14U:
“In the fall, for me it has always been a time with my dad and my trainers to look over summer video and stats to see where to improve. We train on those details and use fall games to test those changes. This has always been the plan. Then winter starts weight and speed training.”
Madi Doty, 2026, RHP/OF, Texas Glory 18U:
“For pitching, after playing all summer and not being able to go to weekly lessons, I focus really hard on spin work and my mechanics, making sure everything is what it needs to be. For hitting, I really focus on staying behind the ball and fixing the small stuff in my swing.”
Addison Allaire, 2027, RHP, Santa Fe Inferno-Nowling 18U:
“I approach the fall season feeling excited and prepared! We are working to be at our best for our big tournaments this fall, (PGF) Show Me The Money and Ray Seymour (Invitational), and I’m looking forward to going to many camps this fall!”
