Randy Jackson, the owner and head of the Lady Gators – Jackson travel softball ball program, has announced his teams will be joining the legendary East Cobb Bullets organization moving forward.
With an accomplished coaching career approaching a quarter of a century—including 542 wins at the high school level and four Florida High School State Championships and 13 District titles—Jackson started the Lady Gators club program in 2011.
The long-time softball coach has placed hundreds of players with collegiate softball programs over the past two decades, creating strong ties with college coaches across the country and at all levels.
Jackson felt it was time to expand his team’s reach and recruiting toolbox by joining the Bullets, which has been a top national organization in fastpitch softball for over 25 years after being founded by Greg Schnute, who himself has won multiple club softball national championships.
“We are excited to welcome Randy, his coaches, players and parents to our family,” Schnute said this week.
In recent months the East Cobb Bullets org has seen a change in leadership with Bullets coaches JD Heath and Andrew Biele taking the charge.
Heath and Biele have won at the highest level and have forged strong relationships with college coaches and all the national event companies.
Their focus on player development and recruitment will only strengthen this already strong organization,” Jackson explained, noting that he will continue his long-time involvement and friendship with Schnute, who will remain actively involved with the club as a board member and founder.
“In seeing the vision Andrew and JD have for the growth of the game and what that want to do for coaches and athletes,” the Lady Gators founder continues.
“It was unlike anything I have seen in the sport. and I could not be more excited for my families and coaches.”
Lady Gators – Jackson will bring seven competitive teams to the Bullets organization, including the new 18U National Team, coached by Matt Bodenheimer and Errick Lowe.
These squads will be the only East Cobb Bullet teams currently in the state of Florida and will be competing as National teams.
“Recruiting Coordinator Matt Bodenheimer will be working around the clock,” concludes Coach Biele, “to find the strongest talent in the Southeast and have them ready for a national Fall schedule.”
