Club News: E-Mail From Bandits Head Bill Conroy Highlights Event & Recruiting Successes Over the Weekend (Oct. 7, 2024)

The Beverly Bandits organization led by Bill Conroy is one of the most successful in fastpitch travel ball with championship-winning teams based in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and even California.

Bill Conroy of the Beverly Bandits

Conroy, who also runs the highly-successful Empowering Girls For Life annual summer event, is based in Illinois and heads one of two 18U teams in the organization along with Jon Stone’s squad located in Indiana.

Regularly, he sends out emails to his organization updating the latest news focusing on teams and players along with whatever else is relevant to his teams.

Here’s an example of an email that went out early Monday morning and typifies how the long-time accomplished coach keeps his players, coaches and families “in the loop.”

If nothing else, it’s a good idea that organizational leads may want to consider doing… but, note, it may take you a while to do it to the scale Bill does, with over 425 on his emailing list!

Also, check out below the email the players who are committed on these two standout 18U teams, both 2025’s and 2026’s…

Hi everyone,

I wanted to congratulate a few individuals as well as a few teams.

Addyson Ware, ranked #18 in the 2026 Line Drive HOT 100.

— Congratulations to Addyson Ware, 2026 MIF/OF, Bandits 18U – Stone, who verbally committed to attend Florida State (FSU) as a student-athlete and play softball on an athletic scholarship!

— Congratulations to Paige Liezert, 2026 Pitcher, Bandits 18U – Conroy, who verbally committed to attend the University of Illinois – Chicago (UIC) as a student-athlete and play softball on an athletic scholarship!

We had several teams play this past weekend and all played well and made it to Sunday but a special shout out to Bandits 12U – Ault, who won the Jeff Mac PGF Kentucky Chrome tournament. The team is 28-0 this Fall. They defeated Bandits 12U – Drummond in the championship.

Bandits – Moran/Lewis won a Platinum berth to PGF, although I fully expect this team to earn a Premier berth, but at least you can book flights and hotel rooms now that you have a bid.

I expect a few more announcements this week regarding college commitments!

Sincerely,

Bill Conroy, Beverly Bandits/Empowering Girls for Life
