Club News: 2024 Line Drive All-Summer Team (Aug. 19, 2024)

There were many great performances by softball players around the country this summer season. The Line Drive staff compiled some of the top performers of the summer for the Line Drive All-Summer Team for 18U, 16U and 14U players.

2024 LINE DRIVE ALL-SUMMER TEAM

18U

PLAYER MVP

  • Townsen Thomas, 2024, OF, Texas Bombers Gold-Smith: The Florida signee batted .606 with a .683 OBP, .869 SLG, 1.552 OPS, 60 hits, 55 runs and 28 stolen bases this summer and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the AFCS after leading the Texas Bombers to the 18U Alliance national championship.

PITCHER MVP

  • Katelynn “Red” Oxley, Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier: The Florida signee had a 1.46 ERA and struck out 148 in 110 innings this summer, she had a 0.72 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 39 innings at PGF Nationals to help the Bolts win the PGF 18U Premier national championship.

ALL-SUMMER

  • Sydney Boulaphinh, 2024, MIF, Top Gun 18 National: The Stanford commit hit .479 with a .571 OBP and had 20 home runs, 13 doubles, and drove in 81 runs while leading Top Gun 18 National to several top finishes including the Colorado Sparkler 18 National Power Pool Championship (10-0 on the week).
  • Lorin Boutte, 2024, RHP, Top Gun 18 National: The Ohio State commit went 8-0 with 73 strikeouts, a 1.38 ERA, and a .167 BAA. At PGF Nationals she went 4-0 with 35 strikeouts, a 0.280 ERA, .061 BAA and had a no hitter.
  • Cambree Creager, 2024, RHP, Texas Bombers Gold-Smith: The Arizona State signee went 17-2 with a 0.63 ERA with 91 strikeouts in 89.1 innings this summer and helped her team claim the Alliance national championship.
  • Charleigh Esparza, 2025, Strykers National-Esparza: The Baylor commit hit 15 home runs and led the team in doubles this summer and helped the Strykers place 5th at PGF Nationals.
  • Aleena Garcia, 2024, MIF, Corona Angels-Tyson: The UCLA signee was an Alliance All-Star and made AFCS All-Tournament after leading the Corona Angels to the 18U Alliance national championship series.
  • Marlee Gaskell, 2025, LHP, Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier: The Florida State commit had a 1.54 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 45.1 innings this summer, a 0.00 ERA and five strikeouts in 10 innings at PGF Nationals and helped the Bolts win the PGF 18U Premier national title.
  • Miali Guachino, 2024, RHP, Corona Angels-Tyson: The Ole Miss signee was an Alliance All-Star and made AFCS All-Tournament after helping the Corona Angels reach the 18U Alliance national championship series.
  • Carson Fall, 2024, RHP, Texas Glory: The Kentucky signee went 17-3 with a 2.51 ERA and 168 strikeouts in 103 innings, was an Alliance All-Star, made the AFCS All-Tournament Team and helped Texas Glory place 7th at 18U Alliance Nationals.
  • Sidney Forrester, 2025, 1B/OF/SS, Aces Fastpitch Club: The Missouri commit batted .446 with a .495 OBP, 1.479 OPS and 81 RBIs, was an Alliance All-Star, made the AFCS All-Tournament Team and helped the Aces place 7th at 18U Alliance Nationals.
  • Juliana “Goose” Hutchens, 2027, 3B, Iowa Premier National-Dickel: “Goose” helped Iowa Premier to a 5th-place finish at Alliance Nationals.
  • Priscilla “Persy” Llamas, 2024, LHP/1B, Athletics Mercado-Smith: The Ole Miss signee helped the Athletics win the Triple Crown national championship and reach the PGF 18U Premier national championship game.
  • Audrey Lowry, 2024, LHP, Tennessee Mojo-Ramsey/Fisher: The Oklahoma signee had a 0.98 ERA and 108 strikeouts in 78 innings for the summer and 36 strikeouts and allowed four earned runs in 38.1 innings at PGF Nationals to help her team place 3rd at PGF 18U Premier Nationals.
  • Ella McDowell, 2024, SS, Impact Gold-Jackson: The Arkansas signee and USA Junior National team member batted .609 with a 1.679 OPS, 15 homers, 60 RBIs and 30 stolen bases this summer and helped IG-Jackson place 3rd at Alliance Nationals. She only struck out three times this season.
  • Kai Minor, 2025, CF, OC Batbusters-Stith: The speedy Oklahoma commit batted .553 this summer and .552 at AFCS to help Batbusters-Stith place 3rd at Alliance Nationals.
  • Saviya Morgan, 2024, OF, Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier: The Tennessee signee batted .425 with 22 stolen bases and 40 runs this summer, she batted .448 with two stolen bases and five runs at PGF Nationals and she helped her team to the PGF 18U Premier national championship.
  • Elsa Morrison, 2025, C/SS, Texas Bombers Gold-Smith: The Tennessee commit batted .448 with a .521 OBP, .971 SLG, 1.535 OPS, 47 hits, 16 doubles, 13 home runs and 27 runs in 49 games this summer and helped her team win the Alliance national championship.
  • Jaycie Nichols, 2025, 3B, Epic National-Smith: The Texas commit batted .500 for the summer season and hit .400 with 10 runs and six RBIs to lead Epic National-Smith to 5th place at Alliance Nationals.
  • Cambria Salmon, Athletics Mercado-Smith: The Texas signee helped the Athletics win the Triple Crown national title, win the Patriot Games championship, reach the PGF 18U Premier national championship game and place 9th in the 18U National Power Pool at Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July.
  • Kate Renschen, 2025 CF, Illinois Chill Gold: The Northwestern commit was Chill Gold’s leadoff hitter and batted .477 with six home runs and 19 stolen bases against a national schedule this summer and helped her team place 7th at PGF Nationals.
  • Morgan Stiles, 2024, IF, Sparks Elite-Ross/Stewart: The two-time state champion, Mississippi State signee batted .574 with 89 hits, 26 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs, 80 runs, 31 stolen bases and 74 RBIs in 57 games to help the Sparks place 7th at the PGF Nationals.
  • Hailey Toney, 2024, MIF/UT, Hotshots National-Nelson: The Texas Tech signee batted .519 with a .583 OBP, 1.516 OPS, 10 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs, 32 RBIs and 20 stolen bases this summer and led her team to a 5th-place finish at PGF Nationals.
  • Kinzey Woody, 2025, 3B/IF, Impact Caymol: The Wichita State commit batted .480 with a 1.955 OPS and 15 home runs to go along with a .980 fielding percentage to help Impact Caymol place 3rd at PGF 18U Premier Nationals.
