The first-ever 2030 Line Drive Hot 100 wraps up this week as we’ll publish an interview with the No. 1 player,  Caylee Cowan, as well as look at the 2030 Position Rankings and the Players on the Bubble (100-plus).

The 2029 Line Drive Hot 100 is next and, originally, the nomination process was going to be opened in early March; however, we’ve received such a large number of ’29’s already so we’re going to officially open the 2029 nominations TODAY!

The 2029 nominations will be accepted from NOW thru Thurs., Mar. 20, 2025. The rankings will then start Mon, Mar. 24, 2025…

Each weekday for a two-week period, we will honor deserving prospects via our countdown of 10 spots each day following this schedule:

• #’s 100-91 (Mon., Mar. 24, 2025)
• #’s 90-81 (Tue., Mar. 25, 2025)
• #’s 80-71 (Wed., Mar. 26, 2025)
• #’s 70-61 (Thu., Mar. 27, 2025)
• #’s 60-51 (Fri. Mar. 28, 2025)
• #’s 50-41 (Mon., Mar. 31, 2025)
• #’s 40-31 (Tue., Apr. 1, 2025)
• #’s 30-21 (Wed., Apr. 2, 2025)
• #’s 20-11 (Thu., Apr. 3, 2025)
• #’s 10-1 (Fri. Apr. 4, 2025)

Following the Class of 2029 rankings, the Classes of 2028, ‘27 and ’26 will follow.

• 2029 Line Drive HOT 100: running Mar. 24 to Apr. 4, 2025
  • nominations officially open NOW. 

• 2028 Line Drive HOT 100: running May 12 to May 23, 2025
  • nominations officially open on April 21.
• 2027 Line Drive HOT 100: running Aug. 18 to Aug. 29, 2025;
  • nominations officially open on July 28. 
• 2026 Line Drive HOT 100: running Oct. 6 to Oct. 17, 2025
  • nominations officially open on Sept. 15. 

The Line Drive Hot 100 is spearheaded by Line Drive Softball Executive Editor Brentt Eads, who began the softball player and team rankings format almost 20 years ago and in that time has done over 40 grad class rankings.

Each class is updated several times leading up to the players’ high school graduation and transition into college.
