With the completion of the 2027 HOT 100 rankings, it’s now time to focus our attention solely on the next Line Drive Hot 100 class which will be in the spotlight–the CLASS of 2026!

The nominations are being accepted from NOW thru Monday, Sept. 29, 2025 and then the rankings will start Monday, Oct. 6.

Each weekday for a two-week period, we will honor deserving prospects via our countdown of 10 spots each day following this schedule:

WEEK 1:

• #’s 100-91 (Mon., Oct. 6, 2025)
• #’s 90-81 (Tue., Oct. 7, 2025)
• #’s 80-71 (Wed., Oct. 8, 2025)
• #’s 70-61 (Thu., Oct. 9, 2025)
• #’s 60-51 (Fri. Oct. 10, 2025)

WEEK 2:

• #’s 50-41 (Mon., Oct. 13, 2025)
• #’s 40-31 (Tue., Oct. 14, 2025)
• #’s 30-21 (Wed., Oct. 15, 2025)
• #’s 20-11 (Thu., Oct. 16, , 2025)
• #’s 10-1 (Fri. Oct. 17, 2025)

This will be the final Line Drive HOT 100 for this year as we will be attending some of the top travel tournaments of the Fall and then covering the NFCA Convention running Dec. 10-13 in Las Vegas.

However, we have set the HOT 100 schedule for next year... here’s the complete schedule for 2026 involving the five classes that will be honored:

• 2031 Line Drive HOT 100: Jan. 26 to Feb. 6, 2026
• 2020 Line Drive HOT 100: Mar. 23 to Apr. 3, 2026
• 2029 Line Drive HOT 100: May 11 to May 22, 2026
• 2028 Line Drive HOT 100: Aug. 31 to Sept. 11, 2026
• 2027 Line Drive HOT 100: Oct. 19 to Oct. 30, 2026

The Line Drive HOT 100 is led by Line Drive Softball Executive Editor Brentt Eads, who began the softball player and team rankings format nearly 20 years ago and in that time has done 45 grad class rankings.

Each class is updated several times leading up to the players’ high school graduation and transition into college.
