Hi softball family & friends…
I’m home and back in full softball mode after my wedding on Friday, Sept. 27, reception on Saturday, Sept. 28 and short honeymoon in Texas last week with my beautiful new bride Shannon.
As I noted in my post last weekend, we got married in Bonham, Texas, and had family and friends from all over the country fly in—as far away as Hawaii and Florida with others coming from California, Oklahoma, Idaho and Nebraska.
We had a couple days together last week to honeymoon at an Airbnb and were able to enjoy this time thanks in great part to Line Drive’s Carlos Arias who did a great job running the site and allowing me to focus on other things (like my new wife)!
Shannon and I will also be going to Hawaii at some undetermined time in the future to have a more extended honeymoon together (and watch some softball!).
Next month softball-wise, we will be at the PGF Ultimate Challenge in Salinas, Calif. (Nov. 1-3) and, two weeks later, at the Clearwater (Fla.) Invitational (Nov. 15-17) so if you’re at either or both, be sure to find us and say hello!
Finally, thanks to all of you who wished us well and sent kind words of congratulations—it meant soooooo much!
Having met so many of you wonderful players, coaches, family members and others who do so much for our sport, Shannon has quickly come to understand why I love working in the fastpitch softball world so much and she’s grown to love it too.
