OKLAHOMA CITY — The Top Performers of the 2024 USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP) National Selection Event, presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods, have been officially announced, highlighting top-ranked athletes across five age divisions: U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, and U-17.
These selected athletes advanced through various local HPP Identifiers over the past year, ultimately showcasing their skills during a series of on-field evaluations and various metric assessments at the National Selection Event held in Vero Beach, Florida, from Dec. 12-15.
The 2024 National Selection Event Top Performers list includes 90 athletes from various USA Softball regions spanning 25 states.
Comprised of 18 athletes per age group, the U-13 division represents nine USA Softball regions, while the U-14 division highlights seven USA Softball regions. Finishing atop the U-15 division were 18 athletes from four different USA Softball regions, followed by five and seven regions represented in the U-16 and U-17 divisions, respectively.
Athletes were selected based on their skill rankings in various drills, including offense, defense, throwing, hitting, and running.

Those recognized as Top Performers will have the opportunity to be considered for age-specific Junior Women’s National Team rosters that will represent the U.S. at upcoming international events — including the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Americas Qualifier and World Cup, along with the WBSC U-18 World Cup Finals.
A total of 406 athletes from across the U.S. participated in the 2025 HPP National Selection Event, showcasing their skills in front of the U.S. Junior Women’s National Team Selection Committee and HPP evaluators, which included U.S. Olympians and professional softball athletes.
Dubbed the Pipeline to the Women’s National Team Program, the HPP was created in 2020 to identify a pool of athletes to train, compete and represent USA Softball in domestic and international competition. The program focuses on providing an equal opportunity for players to showcase their talent while growing the game of softball in the United States.
The 2024 National Selection Event has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the presenting sponsor, Dick’s Sporting Goods. Additionally, USA Softball would like to acknowledge and thank Franklin, Treasure Coast Sports Commission, Major League Baseball (MLB) and Oakley for sponsoring the event.
