The Professional Softball League, Inc. (PSL) today announced the formation of a new world-class women’s professional softball league, as well as a television partnership with the premier women’s sports television platform, All Women’s Sports Network.

The league’s inaugural season of play, which will begin the second week of June 2026 and run through the end of July, will consist of seven different previously independent team organizations from cities throughout the U.S.

A complete 2026 season calendar will be announced on a later date.

All league teams will compete in a single league structure that provides a consistent schedule, standings and a postseason pathway.

“This is a milestone moment for professional fastpitch softball,” said PSL spokesperson Ryan Moore, who is also the owner of the league’s longest-tenured professional team organization, the Florida Vibe.

“We’ve seen the momentum build year after year,” continued Moore, “and bringing teams together under one league structure creates something bigger than any one club can do alone.”

“The PSL is about stability, opportunity, and showcasing the incredible talent in this sport. We’re proud to be part of this next step and excited for what it means for players and fans heading into 2026.”

The pro games will be available on the All Women’s Sports Network, which is the largest global television network dedicated exclusively to women’s sports. The AWSN platform is available on over 1 billion devices across over 60 countries and is redefining how audiences experience women’s athletics.

The PSL continues to grow rapidly with two of its teams being announced in the last three months.

We can’t wait to compete, represent our community, and bring the Heat to the PSL,”

Currently, the KC Diamonds headquartered in Kansas City will be the most Western-based team of the seven so far.

“The chance to help build a true professional home for more women in this sport is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time,” said Jeremy McDowell, General Manager of the KC Diamonds (Kansas City, KS) whose launch was announced last week.

“After 25 years in softball, I’ve seen how much talent is out there and how badly athletes want a place to keep playing at the highest level. The PSL is about giving more players that opportunity.”

The PSL’s seven member teams for the 2026 season are as follows:

• Atlanta Smoke (Atlanta, Ga.)

• Chattanooga Chill (Chattanooga, Tenn.)

• Florida Breeze (Tampa Bay, Fla.)

• Florida Heat (Viera, Fla.)

• Florida Vibe (Bradenton, Fla.)

• KC Diamonds (Kansas City, Kan.)

• New York Rise (New York, N.Y.)

Each PSL team will carry a roster consisting of up to 20 professional players.

PSL teams will sign players to professional contracts, host open tryout events and offer other pathways for prospects to join their rosters.

The league will share details regarding player opportunities, league operations, and the competitive format on a later date.

The PSL’s official league website – www.professionalsoftballleague.com – is live and will serve as the hub for fans, athletes, and supporters.

The site will include league and team news, schedules, standings, player statistics, and merchandise, along with a prospect form for athletes seeking professional opportunities.
