One of the most accomplished travel ball coaches over the last several years has announced that she’ll be stepping down from the 16U age division to devote more time to coaching her younger daughter at 11U and watching her talented sons play baseball.
Brittany Lewis, who has won multiple championships over the last few years with the Mojo organization, wrote a message to her team earlier today explaining that she and her husband Ty—who has been an assistant with Brittany on her highly success 16U team—will continue coaching in club ball albeit at a much younger age.
“I have my Mojo-Lewis 2032 team (11U) that I will now focus on,” Brittany told Line Drive Softball today.
“My daughter Macie-Rae is on that team. Our son Brodie plays national level baseball and our other son Easton is a three-sport athlete so this will allow us to focus on what matters most.”
The coach’s track record includes winning PGF 16U Nationals last year and making the Triple Crown Sparkler Power Pool TV Championship game. Also, in 2023 and ’24, her Mojo teams won both the Show Me the Money and Mojo Invite titles.
Just last week, Brittany led her team to a Top 10 finish at PGF Nationals after earlier this summer winning the PGF Super Grand tournament
Bridget DeRoche, whose daughter Addison was on this year’s team and pitched in the PGF Futures All-American Game last Saturday, comments:
“Brittany has been huge part of Addison’s growth as a player. We will forever be grateful for that and for the exposure she was provided playing for Mojo Lewis.
Having both Brittany and Assistant Coach Barb Sherwood as mentors was a blessing.”
The way the coach informed her team and families was through a comprehensive text detailing the accomplishments of the team and the reason for the move.
