Tell us about your thoughts about your (Utah Talons) and your role on the it? Our team is young and energetic. My role is to guide who we have to be their best selves.

What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? Two years ago, I broke my nose. I had to get 35 stitches and it was 10 days before I was supposed to compete in Italy with the USA women’s national team. All the swelling went down. It was determined that I was healthy enough to travel and compete, so 10 days after I went flying into the dugout, I was on a plane to Italy competing for a world championship.

What’s something about you that would surprise people? That I love trash TV. I love the TV shows with messy drama. I love the “Barbie” movie soundtrack. I wanted “Pink” by Lizzo to be my walk-up song this year.

Who is your sports hero and why? My mom (Mary Lou Ramm Flippen, a two-time national champion at Utah State and a member of Team USA) is my sports hero. She is the reason why (I) play softball. She was an incredible athlete. And she has instilled so many great characteristics in me that have helped shape me into the person and player that I am.

What’s your favorite book to read and why? I don’t typically like to read, but when I do, they are usually romantic-comedy books like “Beach Read” (by Emily Henry). I like being able to pick up something that’s easy to read and disappear from the world for a little bit.

What’s your motto/saying/favorite quote? “No one truly interesting was ever universally liked.” — Unknown

What’s the best hype song and why?Born To Be Yours” (by) Kygo and Imagine Dragons.

What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? (My) go to TV show to binge would be “Friends.” Usually, when I binge a show, I need to fall asleep and the comfort of knowing exactly what happens every episode puts my mind at ease and I just fall asleep.

What’s your favorite movie and why? As a kid, I loved watching the movie “School of Rock” and I thought it (had) the best one-liners to quote.
