And other lists honoring these great 2028’s:
Sometimes I get so involved in the process and work it takes to research, identify and honor these talented and hard-working players that I lose sight of what it means to the players to be recognized.
Today (Friday, May 30), I received this wonderful email from a talented freshman who shared her thoughts on how the rankings motivate her.
I’m leaving her name out as I didn’t get her permission to ID her, but this could be many softballers across all ages who appreciate the recognition they get for working hard to better their skills in the game they love so much.

Brentt,
I just wanted to say “Thank you” so very much for noticing all the hard work I have been putting in, through your rankings. I really do appreciate it.
I can tell you this, that it has definitely helped me in my recruiting process, since more large schools have taken notice.
My goal has never changed since I was a little girl and that’s not just to play D-1 ball or make it to the College World Series. My ultimate goal is to represent my country in the Olympics and I truly believe I will get there.
Your rankings help me become even more motivated and to push a little harder each and everyday.
So again, thanks for all you do.

To this wonderful softball standout and all who dream big like her, may you keep pushing to realize your dreams… and when you are on the Olympic team, I’ll be happy to be in the stadium cheering you on!
