The 2027 Line Drive HOT 100 rankings are up next after we did a thorough analysis of the 2028 and 2029 classes in the past few months.

We’re getting a large number of inquiries as to what’s the timetable for the 2027 nominations and rankings publishing schedule, so here’s the answer to that question:

• Nominations for the Class of 2027 open on July 1, 2025––in 10 days as this is posted.
• Click HERE to go to the Nomination Page.
• The Nomination time period will last from Tuesday, July 1 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025 (six weeks)
• The 2027 Hot 100 will start on Monday, August 18 and  finish on August 29 with the reveal of the No. 1 player in the class!
• The 2027 Hot 100 will also feature:
  • Position Rankings
  • Regional Rankings

2. Number of club coaches who provided opinions and weighed in on other top ‘27’s besides their own: 63.
3. State with most players ranked (1 thru 200): Texas (71).
4. State with second most ranked: perhaps a bit surprisingly, it’s Georgia. California and Florida were 3^rd and 4^th…
5. Most popular first name in the HOT 100: Peyton (7). Ava was next with 5.
6. Coolest Name in HOT 100: Laura Beth Blessing.
7. Most interesting name for a pitcher: Rebecca Balke.
8. Total number of words for the write-ups of the players ranked in the Top 10: 7,292 words (yes, that’s a lot).
