It’s Christmas Eve Day, in a matter of speaking, for those current juniors who are potential college recruits.
Tomorrow is September 1 and for the Class of 2028 grads it means it’s the first day when D1 coaches can officially begin contacting prospective recruits to express an interest in perhaps extending a scholarship offer at some point.
*****
How will these elite, fortunate high school juniors be contacted? By a variety of ways: phone calls, texts, emails and even via social media. And theyÂ
They can also extend verbal scholarship offers!
And one other key thing that will happen: these college coaches can come see the prospect in person at their schools and even homes!

And for the recruit, what can they do? Â
They can begin taking official and unofficial visits.
In other words… it’s time to get real!Â
It can start as early as midnight and could be a VERY long day for some of the elite prospects…. but they probably already know this.
It’s a good idea–rather late now, though!–to have a plan in place as to what you’ll be doing (and expecting) on Tuesday.Â
