The 2026 Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS) started Monday (July 13) in the Indianapolis metro area with 10U and 12U teams checking in and runs through Sunday, July 26 with the 16U and 18U championship games wrapping up that day.

Kallaway Crenshaw, a pitcher/outfielder ranked No. 11 national in the Line Drive Media 2031 HOT 100 and a member of the Atlanta Vipers – Kotula team, has blogged for us at the AFCS 12U Nationals over the last week and concludes her daily series blogging about team’s amazing run to the championship game with her final report today

Kallaway has done an excellent job sharing behind-the-scenes coverage from the ground in Indiana, including daily recaps, mic’d-up players, highlights, and much more that chronicled her team’s on-field—and off the field—fun experiences

DAY 7 RECAP

2026 AFCS CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES — RUNNER-UP! 🏆

We played our second game of the Championship Series today at the beautiful Kokomo High School stadium in Kokomo, Indiana.

Once again, we faced Ella (Iacenda) in the circle. She has a NASTY curveball that our team really struggled to hit. She is arguably one of the best pitchers in the nation—and she’s a 2032! 👏🏽🔥

We showed moments where we were making adjustments, but we just couldn’t string together enough hits to get things rolling.

Zoë Berry went 1-for-1 with a double that hit the fence. Kayla Gardner and Abby Kotula each added a single. I went 3-for-3 with two singles and a double.

We finished as RUNNER-UP in the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series! 🥈🏆

Kayla Gardner, Abby Kotula, and I were named to the Alliance All-Tournament Team! 👏🏽🔥

What an AMAZING spring and summer it has been! We played up in 14U for half the season and competed against some of the best teams in the country.

I’m so proud of this team and everything we accomplished this season. We battled, competed, learned, and grew together—and I’m already excited for what’s next! 💪🏽🔥🖤🤍

What a way to finish an incredible season! 🐍❤️
