Event Recap: 18U/16U/14U Champs Crowned at PGF June Premier Invitational (June 8, 2026)

PGF June Premier Invitational was held June 6-8 in Anaheim/Irvine, CA (All rankings Line Drive’s Club National Rankings):

18U: ARIZONA RISING-APPEL VS. NW BULLETS-CAMPOS

#1 Arizona Rising-Appel and #33 NW Bullets-Campos both decided not to play the 16U final and and finished as co-champions of the PGF June Premier Invitational on Monday at OC Great Park.

Clemson-bound OF Emma Ford (.500 AVG, 2 doubles, 2 triples, 5 RBIs) and Boise State-bound C/OF/IF Tanner Banks (.476, 2 HRs, 6 RBIs) were the leading hitters for Arizona Rising. The pitching staff, which had a team ERA of 1.19, was led by UC San Diego-committed 2027 RHP Angie Falls (0.62, 15 Ks) and Northwestern-bound LHP Lilly “Goose” Goodwin (1.17 ERA, 17 Ks).

#1 Arizona Rising-Appel defeated #23 Lady Magic-Munoz, 4-1, #16 Cal Nuggets-Woods, 7-5, USA Athletics-Embrey, 2-1, #32 Warrior Academy-McDonald/Mullins, 5-3, and #33 NW Bullets-Campos, , in bracket games.

#33 NW Bullets-Campos beat California Grapettes-Merrida/Kapp, 8-1, The Vault-Howard, 4-3, #6 Athletics Mercado-Smith, 7-3, and #1 Arizona Rising-Appel, , in bracket games.

16U: ARIZONA RISING-KOBASEW VS. ATHLETICS MERCADO-HOVERMALE/TIDD

#1 Athletics Mercado-Hovermale/Tidd and #47 Arizona Rising-Kobasew both decided not to play the 16U final and finished as co-champions of the PGF June Premier Invitational on Monday at OC Great Park.

#47 Arizona Rising-Kobasew defeated #24 USA Athletics-RML/Molina, 10-0, #8 Lady Magic-Munoz, 6-2, #2 Warrior Academy-McDonald/Mullins, 5-3, and #1 Athletics Mercado-Hovermale/Tidd (DNP) in bracket games.

#1 Athletics Mercado-Hovermale/Tidd beat #14 Wildcats-Holcomb/Knight, 2-1, #43 Sorcerer-T/K. 5-1, #30 LTG-Henderson/Buck, 7-1, and #47 Arizona Rising-Kobasew (DNP) in bracket games.

14U: NW BULLETS-CAMPOS/HERMAN 7, ARIZONA STORM-POMEROY 4

#10 NW Bullets-Campos/Herman picked up a 7-4 win over #35 Arizona Storm-Pomeroy, which was coming off a semifinal upset of #1 Athletics Mercado-Tidd, in the 14U championship game of PGF June Premier Invitational on Monday at Peralta Park.

#10 NW Bullets-Campos/Herman defeated #20 BSC Bengals-R. Briggs, 9-4, Central Cal Dirtdogs-Hernandez, 7-2, #36 USA Athletics-Ramirez, 7-0, #49 Cal Nuggets-Woods, 11-2, and #35 Arizona Storm-Pomeroy, 7-4, in bracket games.

#35 Arizona Storm-Pomeroy beat Arizona Storm-Beach/Day, 7-4, Explosion-Kim/Tavera, 3-2, #1 Athletics Mercado-Tidd, 3-0, and lost to #10 NW Bullets-Campos/Herman, 7-4, in bracket games.
