Event News: Canada Elite Softball Camp is Launching Next Month… & Instructors Are Wanted! (June 5, 2026)

What if you could spend three days helping develop some of Canada’s most talented young softball players while enjoying an all-expenses-paid trip to Toronto, Ontario?

Niagra Falls in Ontario, Canada is 75 miles from the Georgetown fields.

This July, a select group of current NCAA college players, alumni, and coaches will have the opportunity to be part of what is believed to be one of the first events of its kind in Canada—the Canada Elite Softball Camp.

From July 14-16, 2026, Ontario’s elite softball athletes will gather for three days of high-level instruction, mentorship, and development at the Georgetown Fairgrounds in Halton Hills, Ontario, which is approximately 30 minutes west of downtown Toronto, Ontario

Organizers are hopeful to connect the next generation of Canadian softball players with the athletes and coaches who have already walked the path they hope to follow and equally important to continue to grow the sport “North of the Border.”

However, only 10 instructors will be selected, and the Canada Elite Softball Camp production team is currently seeking these exceptional coaches willing to help make that vision a reality.

This inaugural event will also be covered editorially by Event Partner Line Drive Media, which will be on-site to follow the action on the field, interview participating players and coaches and evaluate prospects for the Line Drive HOT 100 as to what athletes should make the prestigious rankings.

Those interested in being considered for one of the leadership positions at the camp can click HERE to apply.

The first-ever Canada Elite Softball Camp will include players from ages 10 to 16 primarily.
Why This Opportunity Is Different

Canada has produced hundreds of NCAA softball players over the years, but opportunities for young athletes to learn directly from current NCAA players, alumni, and coaches remain incredibly rare.

The athletes attending will be among Ontario’s most competitive softball players from the 2009 – 2014 age groups.

Many have aspirations of playing NCAA softball, competing for Team Canada, and pursuing the highest levels of the sport.

For three days, participating coaches will have the opportunity to share their knowledge, experiences, and passion for the game while helping shape the future of softball in Canada.

This isn’t just another camp.  It’s an opportunity to help build something special from the ground floor.

The Facility

The camp will take place at the Georgetown Fairgrounds in Georgetown, Ontario, approximately 30 minutes west of downtown Toronto.

The six-diamond complex provides an ideal environment, allowing instructors to work in small groups while maximizing repetitions and individual attention.

Dedicated space for hitting, pitching, catching, infield, and outfield instruction will allow athletes to receive specialized coaching throughout the three-day experience.

The facility combines a first-class softball setting with access to many of Canada’s most recognizable destinations.

Why Participate?
Dundas Square in Toronto is 45-to-50 minutes from the camp location.

Let’s be honest—most summer camp opportunities don’t include a trip to another country!

… but this one does.

Whether you’ve always wanted to visit Canada or you’re looking for a unique way to spend part of the summer, this experience combines softball, travel, mentorship, and adventure into one unforgettable opportunity.

The 10 instructors will have the chance to:

  • Experience Canada at no personal cost
  • Receive up to $500 in additional spending money
  • Extend the trip and explore the region
  • Build relationships with fellow NCAA players, alumni, and coaches
  • Gain valuable coaching and leadership experience
  • Be part of developing the next generation of softball players in Ontario

Most importantly, this is an opportunity to inspire young athletes who dream of one day following the same path you’ve already traveled.

Years from now, many of these players may remember the conversations, lessons, and encouragement they received during these three days as a turning point in their softball journey.
