Class of 2029 pitcher Alyssa Graham from Ontario, Canada, has led her teams to the PWSA Tier 1 Grand Championship Medal Game four of the last five years.

Some players flash talent for a season; others keep showing up in the biggest moments until people have no choice but to notice.

Alyssa Graham (Uncommitted, 2029) is already one of those players.

The Class of 2029 standout from Kitchener, Ontario, has already built a track record that commands attention.

At 5-foot-7, the right-handed pitcher brings a 63 mph fastball, power at the plate, and the kind of competitiveness that tends to show up when games matter most.

Alyssa has won championships with multiple organizations, earned major individual honors and has produced against strong competition in both Canada and the United States.

For all the results on the field, Graham is quick to recognize the people behind them.

Her father, Shane Graham, has been a central figure in her development, especially after beginning to coach her at the U11 level. Since then, he has poured countless hours into helping shape her game, always finding time for extra work when needed.

“He has taught me pretty much everything in this sport,” Alyssa acknowledges.

Her mother has been just as steady in a different role, making the trip to nearly every game and tournament to support her daughter. For young athletes chasing high-level goals, that kind of family commitment often happens quietly in the background, but its value is impossible to miss.

Alyss began playing PWSA travel softball at seven years old, and winning soon followed.

Over the past five seasons, her teams have reached the PWSA Tier 1 Grand Championship Gold Medal Game four times. She has also won three provincial championships with three different organizations:

  • 2021 – U11 Kitchener Klassics
  • 2024 – U13 Stratford Flames
  • 2025 – U15 Waterloo Ghosts

Anyone can win once. When multiple programs win with you in the middle of it, that usually says something about the player.

One of the biggest runs came in 2024 with the Stratford Flames, when the team went undefeated and captured the Eastern Canadian Championship in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.

Before the event, Alyss said:

“We’re really excited to go to Eastern Canadians. We’re going to work really hard and hopefully win it.”

Then she went out and helped make it happen.

That season, she earned Top Player at Provincials and later Top Pitcher at Eastern Canadians, showing she could lead when the stage got bigger.

She also reminded everyone she is far more than just a pitcher at the Grand Valley All-Star Game.

Alyss won the Home Run Derby with 12 home runs in 60 seconds, then earned Game MVP honors after striking out the top three hitters in only 10 pitches.

It was another reminder of how complete her game has become, and she then followed it with her strongest season yet.

Playing for the Shakespeare Falcons, Waterloo Ghosts, and Detroit Phoenix, Alyss recorded a personal-best 510 strikeouts—a number that speaks to both dominance and consistency.

She also helped Waterloo earn Ontario’s No. 1 berth to the National Championship in Winkler, Manitoba, where the Ghosts finished 13th in Canada.

Along the way, she was named Top Pitcher at Provincials and received one of Ontario softball’s notable recognitions: the Lori Sippel Award, presented to the Most Promising Minor Pitcher in the PWSA.

Her success has traveled as well.

Competing in major U.S. showcase events with the Detroit Phoenix, Alyss has already been part of a Michigan State Championship team in 2024 and a USSSA National Championships Bronze Medal finish in 2025.

She has also earned selections to both Team Ontario High Performance and Northern Force Fastpitch, two respected development paths for elite young Canadian players.

None of it has been handed to her.

The Canadian trains year-round at Blue Chips Sports Training in Kitchener, focusing on pitching, hitting, strength, and conditioning. She has also worked with pitching instructors Shawn Winship and Scott Thompson, continuing to sharpen a game that already stands out.

Recently, she was named a sponsored athlete by Smash It Sports Canada, another sign that her profile continues to rise.

This season, Alyss returns to the Shakespeare Falcons with another major goal: compete for a national championship.

She still has years remaining before graduation, but smart evaluators know not to wait too long on players like this.

Some prospects are built on projection.

Alyssa Graham is building hers on proof.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
