*** Siena Greenlinger, a 2027 third baseman at Chaminade College Preparatory (West Hills, Calif.) has helped her team get off to a great 9-0 start and is this week’s National High School Player of the Week not just because of her great stats, but how she came up big when it counted.
Last week, she went 7-for-10 with three triples, three doubles and a single for a 1.900 OPS. She also drove in five runs, had a sacrifice and stole two bases.
Most importantly, however, in the three games her team played last week, Chaminade Prep came back to win all three in the last inning and, in each of those rallies, Siena had a key extra base hit.
She drove in two with a double in the 7th inning against Notre Dame before scoring the tying run and led off the game-winning rally with a double against Rio Mesa before scoring the winning run.
The California standout, who is currently uncommitted, knocked in two runs to tie the game with a triple against Thousand Oaks before scoring the winning run.
Siena is a member of Team Israel, having played for Israel in the 19U Canada Cup in 2025, and the International Challenge every summer since 2023.
For the season, Siena is hitting .593 with a .633 on-base percentage and has a 1.559 with 16 hits, 10 RBIs, 10 runs scored, three steals and is perfect in the field with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Head Coach Cory Skinner highlights a key part of Siena’s game that helped the team to a great start with the numerous late inning comebacks.
“Siena has been a huge reason why we are off to a 9-0 start,” he beings.
“Her versatility at the plate being able to drive the ball to both gaps, move runners, and come through in big moments has had a massive impact on our offense.”
“But what truly sets her apart is her presence as a teammate. She’s the first one to lift others up and make them believe we’re never out of a game. Her leadership and her play are at the core of our early success.”
