A Closer Look… Mariah Torres

Mariah is the youngest player on the team being a 2030 grad but can successfully compete and excel against players two, even three years, older than her.

The Houston product has a 1.18 pop time and a batting average of .500 yet could play at the 12U level – two age divisions below where she is now.

Her head coach praises Mariah for her “energy, hustle and heart” and adds: “Mariah will go above and beyond for her team.”

The Aztec players show off the bling they received after a top finish.
What Makes the Team Special?

The players love to hang around each other and love each other,” Coach Ruiz explains.

“Even when we don’t have games or practice together, they find a way to hang out together and bond. That’s something rare that you usually don’t see anywhere else.”
