The Aztecs Premier National 16U team has built a culture rooted in discipline, accountability, and elite development.
“Our players are trained with structure, compete at a high level against top programs, and represent a brand that stands for hustle, leadership, and toughness,” says Coach Ruiz.
“What truly separates our Aztecs Premier, though, is our defense — we pride ourselves on being one of the top defensive programs in the country because defense wins games. Clean innings, smart situational awareness, strong arms, and relentless effort and consistency are our standard.”

Took 3rd at USFA Nationals in Panama City Beach, Florida last year with 55 teams.
Top defense in the Houston area.

Mariah is the youngest player on the team being a 2030 grad but can successfully compete and excel against players two, even three years, older than her.
The Houston product has a 1.18 pop time and a batting average of .500 yet could play at the 12U level – two age divisions below where she is now.
Her head coach praises Mariah for her “energy, hustle and heart” and adds: “Mariah will go above and beyond for her team.”

“The players love to hang around each other and love each other,” Coach Ruiz explains.
“Even when we don’t have games or practice together, they find a way to hang out together and bond. That’s something rare that you usually don’t see anywhere else.”
