Since last Sunday (Feb. 22), when we last published our Line Drive Master Commit Spreadsheet, 50 more players, predominantly in the 2027 and 2026 classes, have been added to give us over 1,800 commits since we started tracking on Sept. 1!
And since Sept. 1, the Classes of 2026 and 2027 have seen players from all over the country–even Canada–commit.
We love hearing YOUR commitment stories, so send them in and they might get published here or on our site elsewhere!
Today we are privileged to get the inside scoop from Lily Barrett, a 2026 first baseman who plays with the Valley Waves – Lindvall/Platt team in California, and will be headed cross-country to play for New York University, a DIII program.

“NYU is my dream school because of its highly academic, vibrant-city environment,” Lily told Line Drive’s Brentt Eads this weekend, “but even more so I am thrilled to join a program that is starting fresh with an amazing new head coach (Nicole Bellini).”
How did the Violets first come across Lily?
“I was first noticed after a successful run in the Colorado Sparkler in July and was then offered after the 16U Platinum PGF Championship Game,” she responded.
Did she commit at that point, we asked?
“I was set on NYU but waited until December when I received my acceptance letter. I officially committed a couple weeks after receiving it.”
