“What an honor to have a team organization based in one of the greatest softball cities in the land of Chattanooga,” says Ryan Moore, the head of the Bradenton, Fla.-based Camwood Bats Fastpitch United Pro League Series.
“Having the Chill join not only provides post-grad opportunities for more athletes wanting to keep playing but also provides the League Series with more of a Southeastern area of game scheduling. This will include the professional teams and players competing against other professional teams in front of young viewers and fans.”
Santiago says he’s excited about providing more professional opportunities for deserving players in Tennessee who will benefit from the stronger competition and increased opportunities to get more on-field experience.
“First and foremost, I want to thank Ryan for the opportunity to join the Fastpitch United Pro Series family here in Chattanooga,” the long-time coach begins.
“The continued growth of the game will make a positive impact here in the city of Chattanooga, especially with the youth and current college student athletes, and the combination of the Chill and Scenic City Collegiate League working together will strengthen the fastpitch foundation we are building here.”
