Emmaline Humphreys of Holy Family (Broomfield, Colo.) High captured the latest MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Fall Player of the Week award, the Association announced on Monday.
She is being recognized for her outstanding play for the week of Oct.20-26.
Humphreys helped propel the (25-4) Tigers to the Colorado Class 4A championship, pitching all four games at the state tournament in Aurora.
The Stanford-bound senior struck out 53, walked just two and allowed only 11 hits and three runs (two earned) over 24 innings, as Holy Family went 4-0 there to close the season on a six-game win streak.
This was the fifth state championship overall for the program and first since 2021.
In the championship game on Saturday against Windsor, Humphreys tossed a one-hitter, walking one and fanning 13 in a 7-4 triumph.

She had previously struck out 18 and walked one over eight innings in the Tigers’ 4-2 semifinal victory over Palmer Ridge earlier in the day, and fanned seven over three innings in a 10-4 quarterfinal win versus Frederick on Friday.
Humphreys struck out 15 and walked no one in a 3-0 two-hit shutout against D’Evelyn in Friday’s opening game.
