Kentucky-committed 2026 MI/UT McLaine Hudson recently talked to Line Drive Media about Louisville Lady Sluggers-Huecker/Norwood, Alliance Nationals, winning a 16U Alliance national championship, winning Kentucky Gatorade State Player of the Year Award, Kentucky players, Team USA, tough opponents, playing for the love of the game, athletic family, Kentucky, physical therapist, the Bible, “Return of the Mack,” “Emily in Paris,” “A Star is Born” and hair-braiding.

Nickname: My nickname is “Mac.” Some of the dads on my 6-and-under softball team started calling me “Mac” as an abbreviated form of McLaine. I guess Mac was easier to yell than McLaine.
