Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? I got into the Aces because Hannah and Lauren Camenzind (current players at the University of Nebraska) reached out to me to tell me about the Aces. I started subbing for them and quickly realized it was the place to be.

Tell us about your experience helping the Aces win the recent 18U Alliance national championship? Being an Ace is not just about learning softball, it’s about growing as an individual and becoming the best version of you. Our coaches push us and we work hard all season, putting in long weekends, dedicating weeks at a time to be better as a team. Winning the Alliance national championship was the culmination of that hard work. It meant a lot because it became the physical manifestation of all of our hard work. We worked hard as a team, we practiced as a team and won as a team.

Can you talk about helpings your team win the recent 18U title at the Atlanta Legacy Showcase Invitational? At the Atlanta Legacy Tournament, my role was to help my team by giving quality innings. Our pitching staff worked really hard to go deep into the tournament. As a staff, we help limit each others innings, helping keep arms healthy.

What makes players from the state of Nebraska special? Nebraska isn’t known for being a huge “softball state,” so it is an honor to represent Nebraska.

What was your biggest focus in the offseason? My biggest focus in the offseason was developing my change-up. I needed to keep hitters on their toes by changing speeds and it has become a very effective pitch I can throw in any count.

Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? I think the toughest competition I have faced has been (OC) Batbusters-Stith. They are a very well-rounded team with very talented hitters up and down the lineup.

What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? I think that finding confidence and trusting myself has helped me not only in softball, but in life as well. Believing in yourself and having a positive mindset is a huge part of success.

Do you have any family members/siblings that are athletes? I have four siblings that are all athletes. My sister, Aubrey, plays softball. My brother, Noah, plays baseball and my youngest sisters, Claire and Haidyn, do gymnastics.

Why did you choose to commit to Arizona State? I chose Arizona State because the second I stepped on campus, it felt like home. The players and coaches were all so welcoming. I knew the second I got there that this was the place to be.

What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I am majoring in biology and want to go to medical school. I love to help people and I want to take after my dad, who is a doctor.

What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? I like science classes in school, anatomy and physiology, biology and chemistry. Science is so interesting.

Who is your sports hero and why? My sports hero is Jordy Bahl. As a young girl growing up in Nebraska, I looked up to her. It was so inspiring to watch her journey into college softball. I was fortunate enough go get to know her and she was a great mentor for me as I went through the recruiting process.

What’s the best hype song and why? Can’t tell me nothing by Kanye West.

What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? “Love Island.” I love all of the seasons and I love all of the drama.

What’s your favorite movie and why? My favorite movie is “Legally Blonde.” This movie is so iconic and funny. I love it.

Do you have a secret talent/skill? I can name all of the state capitals.
