There were two PGF All-American Games on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at DeAnna Stadium in Bill Barber Park, Irvine, Calif.—one for seniors (West vs. East) and one for underclassmen (Sophomores vs. Juniors).

The later contest, won 10-7 by the Juniors, was interesting in that two underclass All-Americans–Ava Papaleo on the Juniors team and Addison DeRoche for the Soph’s—once were teammates… three years ago, on a Rhode Island Thunder squad.

Both standouts are from the Northeast and developed a friendship which was renewed this summer as both were selected to be part of the Futures All-American Game.

Don’t be surprised if Ava makes the Seniors team next year and Addison is with the Juniors once again; if true, they may not play against each other in the 2026 PGF All-American Games but you can be sure they’ll each be cheering the other one on.
