Last Saturday was a fun day for softball players and their family members who participated in the pair of PGF-produced All-Star Games featuring the Futures (juniors versus sophomores) and the Seniors (East versus West).

Along with the action on the field, there were two things in particular that were impressive:

1. the “fans” in the stands who had signs for their favorite All-American participant,
2. the young fans who encountered the All-Star players as they left the field and kindly asked for autographs.

Regarding the second point, it was touching to see these young fans looking up in admiration to these standout PGF High School All-American players and the time and kindness reciprocated by the athletes who patiently took time to not only sign, but to also to interact one-on-one with those who admire them.
