On behalf of our staff, I’d like to wish everyone a very happy Independence Day/4th of July weekend!

It’s officially a holiday, yes, but many of us in the sport we love so much are working our tails off especially those players and coaches competing at top events nationwide like Boulder IDT and Sparkler/Fireworks, both of which are going on this weekend in Colorado.

We’ll have coverage of these events over the weekend and much more in softball so don’t go anywhere… because we have a lot of content to share with you!

Covering the WSBC U-15 Women’s World Cup currently being played in Italy reminds me of my time that I lived in Europe.

I loved being abroad which equally helped me appreciate the good ol’ USA and all the freedoms we enjoy in a country that has its share of problems, sure, but also provides us so many opportunities to do things we love… such as fastpitch softball!

In that vein, I LOVE my job and being able to cover the great people in our sport!

We at Line Drive have a lot of great things coming up which we’ll announce shortly and, also–looking back over the first half of the year–are proud of the 560 articles we’ve published since January 1, 2025!
