MILAN, Italy — The U.S. U-15 Women’s National Team (WNT) extended its perfect record at the 2025 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup by adding three more wins—all shutouts over the weekend—to be at 4-0 entering this final week of July.
The Americans opened the event on Friday with a run-rule 16-1 victory in three innings over Chinese Taipei. That sole run so far against the American pitching came in the first inning and it’s been nothing else since then.

Impressively, three of the four wins for Team USA were three inning run-rule wins (Chinese Taipei, Czechia and Singapore) and the victory over Canada was a five-inning run rule game
And check out the scores:
For those keeping score—literally—that’s the Eagles 54-1 in four games and all four could have been worse if not for the dogs being called off and the games shortened.

*****
The Eagles got on the board early thanks to a sac-fly from Khloe Williams paired with some heads-up base running from Michaela Landers (2-for-4) in the top of the first.
The Canadian defense was able to silence the U.S. bats through the third inning before Landers broke the silence in the top of the fourth by causing a fielding miscue that saw two runs in — extending the U.S. lead, 3-0.
The bats came alive in the top of the fifth as the Eagles pushed five runs across the plate, featuring a three-run long ball from Allison Eicholtz (1-for-2) before back-to-back doubles from Mia Ennis (1-for-2) and Landers capped the scoring.
The offense combined for eight runs on six hits, while Leona Eichholz went the distance in the circle — allowing just three hits through five innings while striking out eight and issuing no walks.
The U.S. defense remained solid behind her, keeping Canada off the board and securing the run-rule win in the bottom of the fifth.

The Eagles erupted in the bottom of the third, plating nine runs to seal the run-rule win.
Khloe Williams drove in three runs with a single, while Amiyah Currie (2 RBIs), Mia Ennis (RBI double), McKenzie Thomas (RBI walk), and Skyla Saito (RBI walk) all contributed to the offensive surge.
Ennis led the way with a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate, while Soto (2-for-2), Eicholtz (2-for-2), and Landers (2-for-2) each tallied multi-hit games.
Maci Barnes proved dominant in the circle – allowing just one hit while striking out five and walking none. The U.S. defense remained perfect behind her with another error-free outing.

Eicholtz capped the scoring with a solo shot – her second home run of the tournament – while Thomas added two hits and an RBI in the frame.
Team USA tacked on three more runs in the third inning to seal the run-rule, thanks to an RBI single from Soto paired with a walk-off two-run long ball from Saito – her first of the tournament.
In the circle, Lucy Reis was untouchable, tossing a three-inning perfect game with five strikeouts, while the defense once again displayed clean, error-free play.
