Tell us about your travel team and how you joined them? I really wanted to play super competitive softball and I knew the Beverly Bandits were one of the best teams. Everyone on the team works so hard and loves softball like I do. I also look up to the older players in the organization.

What was experience at PGF Nationals? It was awesome! We went all the way to California and it was my first time there. The fields were amazing and the games were super tough. I loved that we played full 7-inning games. And California was so cool — my teammates and I were able to sightsee and had so much fun! I really want to play for UCLA one day now!

What makes Michigan players special? Michigan has a great history of softball. We have a lot of great college teams that support the community. In Michigan, it’s really cold in the winter, so we have to train indoors a lot. We play softball indoors during part of the season to make sure we keep up with other states, who get to play outdoors year-round.

What was your favorite part of the fall season? Getting to know my new teammates! We all came from six different states, but we got really close fast. I also worked a lot on my pitching speed and movement and I practiced my slapping a lot since I hit from the left side.

Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? Athletics Gold (Tamborra) from Georgia. Their pitchers were really good and their team has a great offense!

What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? I have played with girls 1-2 years older than me since I was 7 (years old) and it was hard at first, but it made me better and tougher. I had to work really hard to keep up! Now, when I am in the circle or the box against touch teams in a championship game, I feel very comfortable and confident.

Do you have any family members/siblings that are athletes? Asher (Grossman), brother, plays travel baseball for the Motor City Hit Dogs. Izabella (Grossman), sister, plays soccer for the Michigan Jaguars. (Traci Grossman), mom, and two of my Aunts played college softball.

What are you looking for in a future college? A team that feels like a family and a coach, who really helps me grow. I would also look for the right fit to help me reach my career goals.

What college camps have you attended and are you planning to attend and why? Not yet, but I plan to soon!

What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I think it would be cool to be a doctor because I want to help people. My mom is in the medical field and I would like to pursue medicine as well.

What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? Math! I like solving tricky problems — it’s kinda like a puzzle.

Who is your sports hero and why? Payton Gottshall (a former NFCA All-American from Tennessee) — She’s my pitching coach and she’s amazing. She pushes me to get better. Also, (US Olympian) McKenzie Long — she’s my hitting coach and helped my slapping a lot!

What’s your favorite book to read and why? I like Alan Gratz books. They’re about history and really interesting!

What’s the best hype song and why? “FE!N” by Travis Scott — it just gets me hyped!

What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” every episode is surprising!

What’s your favorite movie and why? “A League of Their Own,” it’s so cool how the girls kept playing even when things were tough.

Do you have a secret talent/skill? I also play volleyball! I’m on a national team 11-1 with Legacy Volleyball Club.
