Next up for Line Drive Softball’s player rankings is the Class of 2028 with the last day to nominate being May 5, 2025.
Almost daily we are asked where the Nomination Form can be found (Click HERE to access it or go to the top right of the home page, click on “Recruiting” and go to “Nomination Form.”
Below is a strong nomination form for an excellent ’28 player, pitcher Taylor Cook from Northern Calif.
What makes it solid? The basics are covered (top section) and the areas covering stats, honors, scouting report and unusual/noteworthy aspects of Taylor are covered well.
Also, photos sent include a head shot and an action shot (we like 1-4 action pics included as possible).
If you have any questions on the process, email: Brentt.Eads@LineDriveMedia.com.
For those who nominate players for this class or others down the road, this is an excellent profile example to emulate…

Taylor was also named Student of the Month for Petaluma High School in December 2024 as a Freshman.
GPA: 3.33
Scouting report (what makes the player a Line Drive Softball Hot 100 candidate?: Taylor isn’t like all the other athletes out there as she has had to overcome a lot of medical challenges every day. She works very hard to be able to compete against some of the top teams in the country and is successful while knowing she has a good defense behind her. She is a team player who prioritizes her team and wants to be her best for all of them.
Anything unusual or different about the player off the field? (other sports, family connections, hobbies or talents, etc.): Taylor’s parents both played college softball and baseball. Her Uncle John Goelz, was the baseball coach at Sonoma State Univ. for 39 years and the No. 2 most winning coach in NCAA DII baseball history
