Remember: Nomination Deadline For National High School Player of the Week Is Tomorrow (Monday) at 5 PM (Apr. 6, 2025)

Mia Hemenway, a freshman catcher and third baseman at Chiles High School in Tallahassee, Fla. went 8-for-9 (.889 batting average) and got on base 11 of her 12 plate appearances (.917 OBP) to be named National Player of the Week on April 1, 2025.

We continue our Line Drive’s National High School Player of the Week series.

Every Tuesday for the next several months we’ll honor top performances across the country for the prior week (Monday thru Sunday)… here’s how to nominate deserving players:

Florida State-bound Anna Hinde was the National Player of the the Week announced on March 11.

Nomination Process

Line Drive Softball is honoring a National High School Player of the Week and deserving runners-up.

Honoree(s) are announced every Tuesday and the cutoff for submitting the nominations is each Monday at 5 pm EST/2 pm PST.

We’re looking for standouts who excelled in the circle, at the plate or in the field so be sure to nominate your favorite performance(s) by submitting the following:

  • Player Name
  • Grad Year (example: Class of 2025 or Senior)
  • Position(s)
  • High school team name with city/state
  • Stats for the week (be as detailed as possible!)
  • Up-to-date season stats if possible
  • Recruiting information (if applicable)
  • Any interesting background on the player
  • Action and/or head shots
  • If possible, contact info if we’d like more info or quotes
