Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? I became involved with Top Gun in 2022 when I was given the amazing opportunity to play at the highest level. TG has a special culture that I believe everyone should experience at some point in their life. We always know how to have fun, while getting the job done and each of us always has each other’s back no matter what.
Tell us about your experience at PGF Nationals? Playing in the PGF Nationals tournament will always be a great experience to look back on. My team played great both offensively and defensively against the best in the country and we ended the week taking 5th place in the 14U Premier Division.
What was your highlight of the fall? What have you been focusing on this offseason? My highlight of the fall was when we played in the Top Gun Select Invite and I recieved All-Tournament team. This offseason, I’ve been focusing on fine-tuning my swing and making it as consistent as possible for this upcoming spring/summer season.
Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? We were fortunate enough to play against so many great teams and players that
it’s hard to pinpoint one specific player or team. Our toughest competition would’ve been against the teams in the PGF.
What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? During my freshman high school season, I developed biceps tendonitis and played through it until the pain was unbearable. I sat out a couple (of) games so I could continuously work on strengthening my arm and finish the season. Since then, being consistent in the weight room has been a huge priority to not only perform my best, but to also help protect my body.
Do you have any family members/siblings that are athletes? Blake Seifert, dad, was an All-State Football and Baseball player; Britni Seifert, mom, was an All-Conference/All-District volleyball player in high school and broke school records; Braxton Seifert, brother, plays basketball and football; and Brent Seifert, uncle, was a three-sport athlete in high school and played college baseball at Missouri State. Fun fact: he is now my hitting coach!
What are you looking for in a future college? A school that has a culture similar to Top Gun! Family atmosphere, feels like home, sisterhood, and high expectations are all things I am looking for.
What college camps are you planning to attend and why? As of right now, I am going to LSU in April, but I attended several this past winter such as Kentucky, Mississippi State and Oklahoma.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? I am interested in several occupations, including nursing, business and
entrepreneurship.
What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? History, because I enjoy learning about the past and I like stories about those who lived before me.
Who is your sports hero and why? Sis Bates (a former three-time Softball America Defensive Player of the Year and two-time NFCA All-American at Washington and Team USA member) because she’s one of the best shortstops in the game and she makes so many amazing plays that inspire me to want to play like her. I grew up watching her highlight reels.
What’s your favorite book to read and why? The Bible, because it gives us guidance on how we should live our lives and I enjoy history.
What’s the best hype song and why? I don’t have a particular favorite, but I like listening to 1990s hip-hop/rap before games.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? “Heartland,” because I love horses and enjoy the country.
What’s your favorite movie and why? “Remember The Titans,” because I like the storyline of overcoming adversity and the teamwork aspect.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? Yes! I can draw. I’ve been drawing since I was little and I’ve been told I’m pretty good at it.
