USA Softball: Eight New Members Added to Board of Directors, Will Serve Through 2026 (Feb. 22, 2025)

USA Softball announced this week the election of eight new members to its Board of Directors through 2026. These individuals will play a vital role in guiding the organization and ensuring that USA Softball continues to grow and succeed at all levels of the sport.

The appointments are the result of a careful selection process involving various committees and members of USA Softball. The USA Softball Nominating and Governing Committee takes the lead in recommending candidates for At-Large and Independent positions, which the Board then votes on. Regional Vice Presidents (VPs) are chosen by council members from their respective regions, serving a term through the Annual Council Meetings from 2024 to 2026.

Additionally, athletes are elected by the Athletes Advisory Council (AAC) to represent their interests. Aubrey Leach and Nick Mullins have also been elected as Team USA Athletes’ Commission representatives and alternates for the upcoming 2025-2028 quadrennium.

USA Softball anticipates their leadership will have a meaningful and positive impact on the organization throughout the duration of their terms.

Throughout their terms, Board members are expected to actively participate in monthly virtual meetings and attend the Annual Council Meeting. These meetings are essential for discussing and implementing initiatives that will help advance the sport nationwide.

The governing body also expressed “its sincere gratitude to the outgoing Board members for their years of service and commitment to the sport. Their contributions have been crucial in advancing the organization’s mission and fostering growth at every level.”

USA Softball is governed by a 24-member Board of Directors, which includes a President, a President-Elect, and an Immediate Past President, along with 10 Regional Vice Presidents. Additionally, there are eight Athlete Representatives elected by the athletes themselves, one At-Large Director elected by the Board, one Independent Director also elected by the Board, and one Affiliated Organization Director chosen by the Affiliated Organizations.
