Kimmya Sims, a high school senior from Maryland, has great speed and, at the travel ball level last year, had 20 steals in 32 games for her TNT Maryland National team.
Head Coach Meredith McAlister, touching on the athlete’s talent as well as devotion to helping her teams win, explains:
“Kimmya pitches for her high school team and does pitching lessons just to be in top shape for them for pitching.”
The multi-talented scholar-athlete, however, will primarily be using her great speed at the next level as she’s headed to Hofstra University to play for the Pride in the Colonial Athletic Association.
“Kimmya is one of the fastest players I’ve ever coached,” Coach Meredith McAlister continues. ““She has walked into third base against elite level catchers.”
Here’s a closer look at the East Coast standout…

“We swapped Kimmya to the left side when she came to us a couple years ago,” Coach Meredith says, “and this summer she slapped a ball over the fence against a Power 5-bound pitcher.
“She also hit a couple over this fall and five last summer swinging away.
“Kimmya can also put the ball on the ground,” continues Coach McAlister. “She has a 70-mph plus exit velo as a lefty and a 63-mph arm playing centerfield for us consistently.”
