Louisville-bound RHP Jayden Gohs, #8 in the 2025 Line Drive Hot 100, recently talked to Line Drive Media about Beverly Hills Premier-Stone, overcoming injuries, Ron Parnell, Louisville, sports administration, Samantha Show, “The Cellar,” Jason Aldean, “Outer Banks” and “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.”

Nickname: “Jay.” I have had this nickname for a long time while playing softball. “Jordan” (was) given to me by coaches Dean Freeland and David Trackwell.

Honors: #8 in 2025 Line Drive Hot 100, 2nd Team All-League (2022), All-District (2022), Scholar Athlete (2022), 1st Team All-League (2023), All-District (2023), All-Region (2023), 1st Team All-State (2023), Scholar Athlete (2023), 1st Team All-League (2024), All-District (2024), All-Region (2024), 1st Team All-State (2024), Scholar Athlete (2024) and 3rd Team All-American by NFCA (2024).

High School Spring Stats: Pitching — 154.1 IP, 339 Ks, 0.45 ERA and .124 BAA; Hitting — .528 AVG, 18 HRs (6 grand slams), 39 BBs and 66 RBIs.

Travel Ball Summer 2024 Stats: Pitching — 25.2 IP IP, 36 Ks and .179 BAA; Hitting — .364 AVG and .462 OBP (My summer season was cut short due to a hand/wrist injury. I was only able to play in Kansas city and part of Crown Point tournaments, but also made it to the Colorado IDT to support my team).

Travel Ball Fall 2024 Stats: Out due to injury.
