CORONA ANGELS-TYSON WINS 18U ALLIANCE CUPER CUP QUALIFIER BRACKET

Corona Angels-Tyson pulled out a 1-0 victory over Warrior Academy-McDonald in the finals of its bracket at the Alliance Super Cup Southwest Qualifier on Sunday at Big League Dreams in Chino Hills, CA.

UCLA-committed 2025 MIF/3B Bri Alejandre belted a solo bomb in the bottom of the 1st inning and San Diego State-committed 2025 RHP Montserrat Reyes and Oklahoma State-committed 2026 RHP Peyton May combined on the shutout to lead the Corona Angels.

The Corona Angels clinched berths to next summer’s Alliance Super Cup and AFCS with the victory.

Reyes started and worked five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out three to record the victory. May allowed one hit and struck out two in two innings of relief tp get the save.

The Corona Angels only got three hits off 2025 RHP Ava Bulanti, who went the distance to take the loss.

“I believe that we came out offensively really strong this weekend,” Alejandre said. “We had great defense as well and our pitchers did a great job of keeping us in a game. It means a lot to earn both AFCS and Alliance Super Cup berths because it gives us the chance to play our best softball and compete at the next level. We get to face great competition as well with this opportunity.”

AM-SMITH DEFEATS BATBUSTERS-STITH IN 18U ALLIANCE SUPER CUP QUALIFIER

Athletics Mercado-Smith picked up a 4-1 victory over OC Batbusters-Stith in a matchup of national powerhouses in their 18U bracket final of the Alliance Super Cup Southwest Qualifier on Sunday at Big League Dreams in Chino Hills, CA.

Athletics Mercado-Smith earned AFCS and Alliance Super Cup berths by winning the Qualifier. Athletics coach Mark Smith said his team won’t accept the AFCS berth because they will be at PGF Nationals, but they will accept the Alliance Super Cup berth for next summer in Colorado.

Batbusters-Stith also earned an AFCS berth by reaching the Alliance Super Cup Qualifier finals.

“(It was a)_team win,” Smith said. “This team has very good chemistry and genuinely want their teammates to play well. (2027 RHP) Coral Williams pitched great, (Brown-committed 2025 LHP) Jordan Simmons threw great as well. (2027 C) Holynn Gentry had a great weekend catching and (did well) at the plate. (Washington-committed 025 MIF/3B) Mila Reddy and (Oklahoma-committed 2026 MIF) Ki’ele Ho-Ching anchored the left side of the infeld and middle of the lineup. All in all, good games vs. good teams with bad umpires.”

BREAKERS LABS-KEUSCH/GUZMAN QUALIFIES FOR 16U ALLIANCE SUPER CUP

Breakers Labs-Keusch/Guzman, which was the PGF 14U Premier Nationals runner-up last summer, left no doubt with a 10-0 win over Firecrackers-Humble in the 16U finals of its bracket at the Alliance Super Cup Southwest Qualifier on Sunday at Big League Dreams in Chino Hills, CA.

2027 OF Kanani Elderts came hrough with a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the 7th inning to give Breakers Labs a 3-2 walk-off win over Corona Angels-FTS in the semifinals.

In championship game, Breakers Labs scored nine runs with two outs in the 2nd inning with Elderts driving in the first two runs of the inning with a line drive to left with runners on second and third. The inning was capped off by a two-run home run by 2027 1B/3B Asia Victoria. 2027 RHP Kassidy King started the game, giving up 0 runs and two hits with five Ks over 3.1 innings.

“(We’re) Looking forward to Super Cup,” Breakers coach Kurt Keusch said.

Breakers Labs and Firecrackers-Humble both earned AFCS berths by reaching the finals and Breakers Labs received and Alliance Super Cup berth with the victory.

FC BRASHEAR, CORONA ANGLES-SLYE SHARE 16U TITLE AT ALLIANCE SUPER CUP QUALIFIER

Firecrackers Brashear and Corona Angels-Slye finished in a 1-1 title in their bracket at the Alliance Super Cup Southwest Qualifier on Sunday at Big League Dreams in Chino Hills, CA.

By reaching the finals, both teams qualified for AFCS next summer.

“We’re going to figure that out later,” Firecrackers coach Sean Brashear said of which team will be the 16U representative at next Summer’s Alliance Super Cup. “I think they play in Boulder(, CO, next summer) and the Alliance Super Cup is in Aurora(, CO), which is like two hours away, so we’ll figure that out later.”

2028 3B/1B Scarlett LaBriola (.450 AVG, 1 HR), 2026 P/1B Lilianna Acosta (10 IP, 14 Ks, 2 Wins and 0 runs allowed on Sunday) and 2027 3B/1B Koa Puppe (.450 AVG) led the Firecrackers for the tournament and 2028 SS/UT Nevaeh Wilson, 2027 OF Mariah Holguin and 2027 1B/3B Emma Parker all had standout weekends.

OC BATBUSTERS-STITH/AG QUALIFIES FOR 14U ALLIANCE SUPER CUP

OC Batbusters-Stith/AG picked up a 4-2 win over Firecrackers Brashear in the 14U final of the Alliance Super Cup Southwest Qualifier on Sunday at Rosetta Canyon.

Batbusters-Stith/AG and Firecrackers Brashear both earned berths into AFCS next summer by reaching the finals and Batbusters-Stith/AG earned the berth into the Alliance Super Cup with the victory.
