Five states in the U.S. player their high school softball in the fall: Colorado, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Georgia.

The Peach State playoffs took place last weekend (Oct. 30 – No. 2, 2024) and, per the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), which hosted the prep championships at South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus, Ga.:

“It was four days of beautiful weather, thrilling games and spirited crowds.”

• A Div. I – Gordon Lee (Chickamauga, Ga.)
• A Div. II – Emanuel Co. Institute (Twin City, Ga.)
• 2A – Morgan County (Madison, Ga.)
• 3A – Heritage Catoosa (Ringgold, Ga.)
• 4A – Harris County (Hamilton, Ga.)
• 5A – Creekview (Canton, Ga.)
• 6A – East Coweta (Sharpsburg, Ga.)
• Private – Wesleyan (Peachtree Corners, Ga.)

It was familiar ground for two teams, Heritage Catoosa (3A) and Wesleyan (Private School), which have won back-to-back championships (for Wesleyan, it was a third straight title in a row!).
