For those looking for the No’s 20-11 rankings in the 2027 Line Drive HOT 100, they will be pushed back to Friday, July 26, 2024.

And the Top 10—No’s 10 to 1—will be released on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Sorry for the last-minute change but I think I have a good excuse… Thursday evening in Laguna Beach, Calif. I got engaged to the future Mrs. Eads: Shannon Doermann.

I proposed to Shannon at the Las Brisas restaurant with beautiful views of the Pacific coastlines.

She said “Yes” and the date we’ll be married hasn’t been finalized yet… but you Line Drive Softball readers will be among the first to know!

On a serious note, I apologize for the delay in our releasing the Top 20 of the 2027 class, the last two postings later than expected, but I felt this was a special (and very rare) occasion to justify such an editorial decision.

And I felt like I should spend the evening focusing on my soon-to-be wife.

Finally, I will admit the obvious: yes, I’m a very, very blessed man to have found someone so beautiful and wonderful as Shannon… and you’ll very likely see us together at the softball fields so don’t hesitate to come up and say “hello!”
